The King is Dead! Long Live the King!

Those loathsome and detestable tacks have finally been knocked off the top of the division. Now the Prince that was promised has now delivered us our first AFC South championship since 2017.
May our reign atop the AFC South be long and prosperous!!! All hail Pederson! All hail Trevor! All hail to Rayshawn Jenkins and Josh Allen! They will have a special place in Jaguars history. This will be a night long remembered!!! Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

This felt huge for the fans, the players, the staff, hell the whole Franchise. After last year especially, things were as bleak as I've ever known and that's saying something for us.
But this felt like the cleaning of that whole slate, the start of a new blank page for the Jags and our future and beating the T*tans, that way and in a game that had so much riding on it was the perfect way to do that. This isn't just about this year, this is for the next 10 years and I cannot wait. The South runs through Duval. Not being able to win on the West Coast... All of those losses against NFC East teams... All of those losses against Houston... All of those losses against Tennessee.. All of those years out of the playoffs... All of those years not winning the division... All of those years without hope... GONE!!!!!! Thank you Jaguars! I'm so proud!!! Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!
The jags back in the playoffs? This year. Pumped. Even tho I know we likely getting bounced early still good to on the rise finally.

Just got home from the game. Loudest Jaguar game i've ever experienced, ears were ringing afterwards.
The curse of 1999 has been erased!! That being said, the tacks came up with the perfect game plan, and almost carried it out for a win. If our D doesn't pick off Dobbs, and then force the fumble, then likely we lose. Yes, they were more rested. Yes, they were better on D than our first mtg. Could they have won this with a healthy Tanneyhill? I believe so. I will never refuse a win over the loathsome tacks, but we better block for the run a whole lot better next game or we are looking at 1 and done. D saved us today. What an incredible ending to the game and the regular season. On to the playoffs!!!

In 1996, in a win or go home game, DE Brackens makes a game saving tackle against the Falcons to set up a 30 yard missed FG, which sent the Jaguars to the playoffs for the first time in team history.
The next game, which was a win or go home game, DE Clyde Simmons snatched a shovel pass for an interception, to score the Jaguars first ever points in the playoffs that tied the game and propelled the Jaguars to get rolling and beat the Bills. The next game up in Denver, in a win or go home game, DE Clyde Simmons blocked an extra point after Denver scored the first TD of the game. The next time Denver scored a TD they chose to go for 2 and the pass bounced off Shannon Sharpe’s chest and the score was 12-0. That small play effected the outcome of the game and the Jaguars would go on to win in one of the biggest playoff upsets in NFL history. Are you noticing a pattern yet ? Last week, in a win or go home type of game against the Texans, the Jags were leading with a score of 14-0 in the 2nd quarter DE/OLB Josh Allen pushed the right tackle in the backfield and caused a fumble, in which Tyson Campbell scooped and scored which stretched the lead to 21-0, which put the game out of reach. Tonight in a win or go home game, DE/OLB Josh Allen scoops up a fumble recovery and busted the game wide open which ultimately became the game winning TD Also should point out that DE/OLB Trevon Walker snatched an interception in his first official game as a rookie. It was eerily similar to Clyde Simmons’ int against Buffalo in ‘96. We ended up losing the game but it was almost fate as to what was to come later in the season, as we are now 2022 AFC South Division Champions.
The biggest thing erased was the Urban stank. The utter embarrassment that was 2021 is now a distant memory.

One thing I really enjoyed about last night's game is how determined the defense was in making sure that the Jags didn't lose that game. The offense had some misses and were stagnant at times throughout the game. But the defense kept coming up big for them with different stops and plays. The defensive players were locked in and had a "heck no we aren't losing this game tonight period" attitude. I appreciated it and I think that's another good sign this team has turned the corner. Special teams did their part tonight as well. It's good to see when you have various parts of the team that will fight hard to do what they have to do to get the team a win. Even if one-part (like the offense) struggles.

This definitely has the magic of '96. Don't think anything will ever erase the despondency of walking out of the stadium after the third loss to the Titans. This is some magical #@$% right now.
