Allen 1 min and 4 sec of game clock

I’ve been rough on Josh Allen lately but he did something crazy last night.

Dude recovered a fumble, scored a touchdown, and forced a fumble…. He did all of this in 1 minute and 4 seconds of actual game clock.

2:59 left in the game, down by 3 points, so or die game, go make a play. Jenkins makes the defensive play of the year by forcing a fumble on a blitz, Allen scoops and scores.

The following series, Allen gets around the RT and forced a fumble with 1:53 on the game clock.

Josh Allen in the last 2:59 of the game:

TD - 1
FR - 1
FF - 1
QB Hit - 1
QB Hurries - 2
Total combined tackles in the game - 6
Total pressures - 6
Sacks for the game - 1
Pass rush win rate - 28%

You wanna talk about Clutch during Crunch time. That’s big time right there bubba!!

Wow!

Arden Key with 7 pressures on just 20 pass rushing attempts

Key’s pass rush win% was an outstanding 35%

He also had 2 run stops on 15 rush attempts

We all know Josh can have games like that, he did it against Buffalo last year.. it's just odd that he dissappears for most of the season.

Allen played great.

But the entire D did as well. The entire front 7 were mobsters.

The secondary were unrelenting.

It was the utmost of a team effort.

I was calling for Caldwell's ouster after the Detriot Disaster. This defense has rallied since then. Much credit to the DC and the players!!!

Key and Engran are the 2 players we must resign imo.   Really need to resign Patterson and Wingard as well.  Those are the 4 that I really want to resign.  Hopefully Baalke is able to some how make it work

The offensive line allowed just 8 pressures on 33 pass attempts

Walker Little, Tyler Shatley, and Jawaan Taylor all had pass blocking graded of 78% or higher.

The interior oline were getting blown up all game.  The good think is it will be a much easier task against the Chargers interior dline.  Joey Bosa will be back on that Chargers D and it will be a much tougher task for our tackles next week.

Allen brings this every week. He’s near the top of the NFL in pressures and is always in the right spot.

This was the first game that the entire front 7 played cohesive and complimentary. Typically even if a guy won their matchup we were getting washed elsewhere on the line allowing a hole to run through or a pocket to step up into and negate the won rep on the edge.

Travon Walker wreaked absolute havoc last night. Him disrupting on the opposite edge was absolutely essential in allowing Josh Allen to not be triple blocked and not allowing the qb an easy out from the pressure.

We need to resign him he’s easily the best player on the defense.
Championship Formula:

1) Draft Trevor Lawrence!
2) Play good physical Defense!
3) Keep 91% of the roster healthy!
4) ???
5) Blank #2
6) CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

For sure got to bring Allen back.

Last night he was lining up on the left side causing havoc on the Right Tackle.

Agnew is under contract next year.  He isn't going anywhere

Under contract don’t mean anything in the NFL.

If Wingard was independently wealthy I think he'd play for Pederson and the Jags for free. Lol. Dude loves the Jags and by his own words would die for Pederson.

I'm afraid Key will get an offer from another team that the Jaguars can't match. He only made $4 million this year and came on very strong at the end of the season. Also, he's only 27 years old. I sure hope they can somehow keep at least one of Robertson-Harris, Key and Smoot (if healthy).

Allen has really come on late. It seems like all season when he was getting close but not getting home, that he's now getting home. Also, these are the games we need these guys to show up and it's good to see.

He didn't disappear much at all. Most games he was getting solid pressure numbers, just wasn't getting home.
He was affecting QBs though. You just have to pay attention.

Allen started getting home again when we started playing lesser QBs and OLs - that was then magnified when Williams was moved outside and coverage began giving the pass rush another half-second to get home. (and they did, repeatedly)

Folks can buck this and mock me all they care to. I know what I'm saying is sound.

Fix the [BLEEP] coverage and add an interior disruptor.

Do that  - and all this moaning about our pass rush will go away -  and Allen and Walker will feast.

Based on my knowledge of our Cap situation... If we cut Agnew, we'd save almost 5 million on our cap which could go to help re-sign another player. Personally, I'd hate to lose Agnew. I think he's worth every penny...

But to say Agnew isn't going anywhere is kinda naive. Even though is a really good player, there are other key players that are more important that could potentially make Agnew expendable.

This is why that Baalke apology thread is a bit pre-mature, in my opinion. Yeah, Baalke is good at opening up Shad's pocket book and getting talent. But does Baalke have the ability to keep talent long term and aquire more talent when the cap is tight. This off-season is going to be extremely important. We don't need to win the off-season anymore, like we used to have to when we didn't have great coaching and a franchise QB. Now, it's more that we keep the talent we have and just need to not lose too many impact players in the offseason.

We're in the midst of a major paradigm shift for this fan base...
