I get Bosa's frustrations. I really do. I watched the game. I try to be fair. There was a lot of nonsense they got away with in the 1st half, quite a few that lead to turnovers and points and in the second half, it looks like the calls started going our way to make up for it all.

Regarding Lombardi and the lack of run calls? Go look at the box score. They couldn't run it. Ekeler - 13 for 35 / Kelly - 7 for 20. Herbert couldn't get it done. Despite being spotted 27 points in the 1st half with the help of the stripes. They deserved to lose this game. I don't think ALL of it needs to be put on Lombardi.

Let's flip the coin on that. How is it that Staley, a defensive minded coach, has his star player on defense loose his cool? Have his defense squander what was honestly one of the greatest defensive efforts you could have asked for in one half of football? They collapsed. They couldn't adjust. They couldn't get us off the field. In the 2nd half we had 5 possessions. We scored TD-TD-TD-TD-FG all in a row to win that game.

That's on the Headcoach. Not Lombardi. Also, let's look at the fact that Staley got Mike Williams completely hurt in a meaningless week 18 game and also that he managed to get Bosa hurt and tweaked a bit. There's a reason Bosa struggled. Dude was battling through a hamstring or groin injury I believe. So, again. I get it.

Plenty of blame to go around. The way Bosa was acting in the 2nd half was exactly how I was losing my [BLEEP] mind in the 1st half when our offense was getting robbed downfield. However. I am not a multi million dollar athlete that has an entire team depending on me with multiple cameras on me and refs looking at me.

That's on coaching as well. Keep your guys cool. Keep your guys collected. Said it earlier this week or last week somewhere. Your team is a reflection, an extension of your headcoach and coaching staff. I only see Doug getting fired up when they make big plays. When they make mistakes? He's calm. He talks to his guys. He keeps their spirits up.

Staley gives off BAE. Bad Anxiety Energy. Staley has BAE. Pederson has BDE. It's obvious.

I'm not sure Pederson understands that what he does is a PhD masterclass of how to psychologically address stress in a physically strenuous setting...  But damn, it's exactly what he does.

I don't want to defame or slander Bosa. But I strongly believe he's on steroids.

Ohio State has a bit of a reputation for their linemen juicing. Considering his ridiculous muscle mass and body fat % which even for an NFL athlete is extreme it feels obvious. But also his outbursts... the spiking of the helmet over not getting a call? Doing it again? NFL players are passionate, but "roidrage" and the inability to control your emotions like what he showed Saturday is a clear symptom of PED's.

He's a star so the NFL will look the other way as having him on the field sells tickets (and the Chargers need a reason for people to come to games after their debacle of spurning San Diego and most of their fan base).

I knew we were going to win this game. Not before the halftime TD. It was right after Lawrence audibled and hit Zay Jones quickly to cut the score down from 30 to 20. I knew it. I [BLEEP] knew it. 

The biggest tell? Justin Herbert's face and reaction on the sideline. You could see it. The concern. The anxiousness. The fear. Even when I looked at Lawrence [BLEEP] up the way he did in the 1st half. He was stoic. Sure, he would get frustrated looking at the tablet and realized, "Yep. I [BLEEP] up."

You just didn't see anybody on that sideline of ours cave into pressure. That's exceptional man. They've done it all year. Week after week. They had to lose close games earlier in the season to learn how to win close games down the stretch when the [BLEEP] really mattered and the play off picture began to take shape. 

Credit to Doug. Credit to Trevor. Credit to everybody else buying into this and going with the flow.

This was exactly when I started getting quiet and crossing my fingers!!  I told my buddies at half time, "If we can cut the lead to 10 by the 4th Quarter, we'll win this game".  I thought I posted it to the board, but I guess I was too drunk at the time!!

But that's what I said.  10 points down by the 4th and we got it!  And then do you remember the play call for the TD to Zay?  I swear, and maybe I'm wrong, but Trevor Lawrence called some sort of audible to get it to Zay!!!  That was the moment!  That TD with like 30 second left in the 3rd was the moment that changed the game.

And then, like you said.  They kept showing Herbert's face throughout the rest of the game.  Dude looked shook!!!  But that's when I knew, too!  We scored that TD right before the end of the 3rd, and it brought us to 10 points behind...

From the point on, I just stood there, or sat there and kept my mouth shut and my fingers crossed and just believed.  And that 4th and 1!!!!  That was the first time I screamed since the 4th Quarter started...  Just sheer pandamonium after that!!!  But you're right, it was the Zay TD that was the one that let me know we had 'em.

So I said I think it must be tough to unite the locker room when there's a guy in the locker room with known outspoken racist immediate family members casting a shadow over a guy. I didn't say they don't have a united locker room, just that such a situation must present a difficulty. Honestly the refs sucked all weekend and it is a problem. Bosa was fine to complain about the refs but at the end of the day he should look in the mirror and admit he screwed up. You don't give the refs the opportunity to retaliate against you. I figured Herbert was going to fade because he did have that here we go again look about him. They were absolutely deflated long before that final kick.

The sounds of the game put out by the team was a great window into a team that is believing in the coaches and each other.

I, too, saw the game.  I, too, try to be fair.  Your first paragraph begs the question:  if the officiating was bad on both sides, where exactly was the disadvantage to him or his team?  Again, there were two egregious non calls for PI/illegal contact on Zay Jones that stopped a drive and led to an INT and denied a two point conversion.  Neither Zay Jones nor Trevor Lawrence threw tantrums or their helmets.  Neither of them insulted the officials to the point they drew unsportsmanlike conduct penalties.  Even assuming he was justified in being frustrated, he wasn't justified in his subsequent actions.  He disrespected the officials, he disrespected his coach, he disrespected the game. and, because his team was twice penalized including allowing the Jaguars to make a 2 point conversion that was the difference in the final score, he disrespected his team.

No, all the heat does NOT need to go to Lombardi, but there's no excuse for the lack of competent clock management.  With a lead of that nature, you want to shorten the game.  Even assuming they weren't having great success running the ball, even if they wouldn't be mistaken for the Hogs, every run would eat the clock.  The Jaguars did not take the lead until the clock hit all zeros at the end of the game.  If they (Chargers)  ran the ball 3 more times averaging what they averaged, how much more time would have elapsed from the clock?  Let's say. conservatively, another minute, minute fifteen seconds?  Which of those plays in the GW drive are eliminated?  Certainly the Etienne run to the right out of T formation for 25 yards down to the 15.  But even assuming the Bolts running game completely bogged down, a QB of Herbert's caliber could have hit a talented all around back like Ekeler in the flat or underneath on a circle route, right?  Even with the passing game, they could have taken more time off the clock and still have been risk averse.

As for the defensive collapse, they were doing just fine in the first half with tight overage.  In defending the Chargers defense, Emmanuel Acho observed it's common for defenses to loosen the coverage in the midst of a huge lead because they don't want to give up the big play/quick strike.  How did THAT work out for them?!?  They switched philosophy/strategy and they still gave up big plays with a 39 yard TD to Zay Jones on an audible, a couple of big plays to Even Engram, and ultimately they lost the game.

If Bosa struggled because of a hamstring or groin injury, he knew or should have known his body and the nature of his injury well enough to know whether or not he would have been in any way effective.  He chose to play with those injuries.  The ref didn't chooce for him.  This also raises the issue...if Bosa knew he was playing injured and knew he wasn't effective, why blame the official for his lack of production?

No need to jump on the grenade to defend the clearly unsportsmanlike actions of a guy who hurt his own team with his tantrum, to say nothing of his ineffective performance.
