Apparently our missiles have a difficult time tracking balloons and we missed  our first shot on one.  Time to bring back bi-planes to fight the blimps.  What year is this again?

Either we have terrible pilots who can't hit a slow moving balloon or perhaps these "balloons" are making evasive maneuvers to avoid our missiles. What seems more likely?

Not at 60,000 feet. That’s almost twice as high as airliners cruise and is at the ceiling limit of most fighter jets. Plus, this gives pilots opportunity to do a missile shoot. Something they don’t get to do very often.
