Day 2 I'd like to see a deal get done for Budda Baker.. Could the trading back and picking up extra picks be a sign that there's a trade in the works?

Personally, I'd love Torrence. I have a feeling we sign a pass rusher after the draft like Ngakoue or Frank Clark for a couple years, but you gotta protect the franchise.

I'd also accept a CB or DT in round 2.

Fixing to be really, really fun this weekend. If there's a solid edge rusher or nickel CB still there at the bottom of RD3 they're packaging up those early 4th's to get back up there. I could see them keeping pick 160. Maybe for a TE there. I can see picks 185, 202 and 208 being used to get back up again in early round 4 for a nice rotational pass rusher. Guys like Nick Herbig and Yaya Diaby could be hanging around there. 

I wouldn't care if they flipped both of those 7th RD picks for a future 4th or 5th in next year's draft.

Pretty much agree with all this.  It really just depends on who falls tonus.  If Branch or Torrence makes it to the mid 2nd I'd do what I can to trade up even if it means giving up ou 2nd 3rd and a 4th.  We can still add a veteran pass rusher as well.  I still think we should try to get Leonard Floyd

I don't think Washington gets all the way to us but have no issues packaging up to 45 or so if he's still there then. We could probably flip 2s with the Lions and throw in a 4 and 6 from our haul last night. If we do then I could see some options being Torrence, Aliva, Keion, Tyrique, or Mauch in that area. If we stand pat we could be looking at DJ Turner, Luke Musgrave, Derrick Hall, or Tuipulotu from USC. Still really good options in those groups.

Considering the amount of quality prospects that should be available with Pick # 56, under most draft scenarios, I hope the Lions and Jaguars exchange Pick # 48 for Pick # 56, a 4th, and a 6th. Even if Darnell Washington is available with Pick # 48.  

After seeing the results by Lions GM Brad Holmes with 2021 4th Round Pick Amon-Ra St. Brown and the results with Malcolm Rodriguez and James Houston in the 6th Round of the 2022 Draft, this trade scenario makes a great amount of sense for the Lions.  

With the Jaguars having extra picks from their Day 1 consecutive trades, it would be a great opportunity for the Jaguars to get a unique talented TE to add to their mix, if Washington is available.

Keep an eye out for Dawand Jones. The guy is a mammoth. Trent has to be fascinated with him. I'm guessing either CB or DL in the 2nd round and the other in the 3rd. If there is a trade up, you can add OL in that mix as well.

I would be more concerned with Dawand Jones having a fascination with eating. Major red flags around him conditioning wise. He couldn't finish his OTA's and came up gassed at Ohio State's pro day. He didn't even want to step on the scale. He's got Andre Smith (Former Alabama OT / Bengals draft pick) written all over him. 

You would have to stay on his [BLEEP] yearly about his weight and conditioning. There was another whopper a few years ago. Terrence Cody. Think he was a defensive tackle from Alabama. He had the same challenges and never panned out in the NFL. Lasted maybe two years with the Ravens.

Lions T Aaron Gibson, a 1st Round Pick from Wisconsin in the 1999 Draft, immediately comes to mind when reading what you mentioned. Gibson is the type of person who would be great to watch a game with, as he has a great personality.  But as an NFL player, the commitment off the field, and the desire on the field just wasn't there.  

Any team seriously considering Dawand Jones needs to talk to people behind the scenes with Ohio St., that would be willing to pull no punches.

I would like for us to come out of Day 2 with a good pash rusher and a nickelback.  Offensive guard is my Plan B and tight end is my Plan C.  If the Jaguars draft anything else, he better be the steal of the night.

I'm also very happy to trade up where it makes sense.  Nine players from Day 3 are not making this team.

We’re adding to a playoff team. The 3 guys we’ve drafted will make contributions immediately. We have quality depth at TE. We have a starter at LT or RT and we have leverage with Engram if a deal falls through.

Most importantly, Pederson gets to open up the offense to its full potential with Strange and Engram both on the field and Bigsby and Etienne spelling each other.

We still have 1,000 yard receiver in Kirk. Zay Jones will be in his second year with Lawrence. Fortner will be a year better.

And we still have Buddy Baker in the works and plenty of picks remaining to get that defense popping. They are taking the best available player and they are sticking to it.

Probably going to bring in a veteran DE to jump in that rotation.

The focus is still to win the division and we’re still the best team in the South.

I disagree. I think what happened is that this fanbase got used to picking early every damn year so every damn big name player at the top of every round was thrown around at us.

There's at least 7 guys they visited with by my count STILL available, mostly on defense, that are prime options in RD4 tomorrow.

You all will be pleasantly surprised tomorrow. The defensive depth is fixing to get shored up. You'll see.
