Training Camp Countdown & Who to Watch

The overall consensus from the talking heads in attendance today was that the OL was a clear winner vs the pass rush. I'll wait until September - as this trench work doesn't usually make itself apparent in these (newly) documented practices. The past few years that have been producing these detailed camp reports - you can pick up on some individual progress and see some signs of who the coaches are looking to move around, but I don't think either line really reveals itself until they see a reg season game. Both players get meaningful snaps. Feel like they’re going to have a tough time keeping both ETN and Tank off the field. I’d bet we see more of a ‘traditional’ Pederson offense where he rides the hot hand. Couldn’t really do that with Hasty as your backup. ![]()

First time I've heard his name all camp Urban is gone now so I think it will all depend on how he plays on how much playing time he gets. If he is out there playing good and making plays he will get more and more playing time. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Shipley's "other notes" from day 11
Quote:Brenton Strange showed off grown-man strength on an early team rep target, catching the pass underneath before using a stiff arm to send Rayshawn Jenkins to the turf with authority.
I've been on the Brenton Strange bandwagon since he was drafted. I see good things from him.
We still have a way to go as a fanbase. Pete Prisco was on the Jaguars Happy Hour radio show on 1010XL today (I highly recommend, great show) from Green Bay. He said 70,000 people showed up to pay $10 to watch the Packers practice. 70,000. (08-07-2023, 06:57 PM)NYC4jags Wrote: Shipley's "other notes" from day 11 Thanks ! It appears they have collected a bunch of talent to choose from, but then we are competing against ourselves right now. We will know a bit more after our joint practice with the Lions.

Walker adding new moves to his arsenal
https://twitter.com/jordandelugo/status/...6483878912 Another day of camp and another day of Chaisson getting bullied lol. By the rook as well. Cam Robinson put Chaisson into the ground on one of their reps as well. https://twitter.com/MiaOBrienTV/status/1...3400527872 https://twitter.com/nflnetwork/status/16...9004090369

Clip of Tank's 70 yard house call posted on Jags Instagram. Nice block by Cam to set it up.

Hes got a good long ways to go. Parish's best hope is Practice Squad at this point. He's entirely raw (learning a new position at FB) and was working with the TEs a bit.

It's a big reason why most teams don't. Not sure how much scouting teams need on Love, though, so a few extra seats for the fans, I guess. Allll the hype I keep hearing about Bigsby has me excited for this Saturday's contest with the Cowgirls. Will be awesome if he's a key contributor right off the bat to go along with Etienne in the backfield. Having a dynamic duo out of the backfield to account for knowing what we already have carrying over from last year in the passing and receiving game WITH Ridley is very, very fun for me as a fan.
I haven't been this excited about an offense in Jacksonville since the 1990's. This is shaping up to be a great looking offense for many years to come. We're finally getting away from the archaic landscape that plagued this team for nearly two decades. FINALLY! ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I could go Saturday if I feel like it. Just not too sure about paying Cowboy prices for a preseason game. ![]() |
