I have a feeling the FB position will eventually return at some point to balance out how small the linebackers are these days.. it just makes sense.

Still don't like the abbreviated preseason, I think game reps are important for all the mechanics of a game - substitutions, relaying plays, hurry up offense, etc

I'm perfectly fine with Lawrence not playing anymore in the preseason, but if that's the case i'd love to see Rourke get a drive or two with the starting WRs. You can bench ETN aswell, let Bigsby get aclimated to playing with the first team.

Disagree. Lawrence still needs some play. Not a lot but some. Season starts with big divisional games and KC. Have to be in rhythm quickly and early.

Plus he is still young needs to get better at reading any of the zones they throw at him. Sure they won't be super complex stuff, but still.

We have 2 more games before things count. I am thinking Doug will give them a couple series each game as there is now 2 weeks from game 3 to the opener right?

I miss the days when we had this.

Don’t expect our horses to play the rest of preseason.

I feel you, if it were my call i'd probably at least give him one drive.. but an injury in the preseason would throw our season away sooo I can't blame them if they don't play him again.

An injury in the first regular season game would torch our season too but I don’t think you can play (or not play) worrying about injuries. I wouldn’t play him because I don’t think he really needs it and the regular season is long and hopefully we’ll get some games in the postseason. Rest him while you can.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

Good for him, honestly even in those 3 years he made more than most do in 20 years + working a full time job. Hell of a head start on life and at 27, still a whole lot of mileage left to go. I think this will start being a trend, more players starting to retire younger if they have or fear having head/neck issues.

We have some demons to exercise in Detroit.. our worst performance last year was there. Would like to see the 1's not turn it over.

Reyes was a very intriguing prospect. Sucks he had a bad concussion change his mind, but you can't blame him.

It never got reported by the local talking heads because it happened of the "far field" from them at practice, but...

Reyes and all the other TEs and RBs were doing drills on QB protection. They were going one on one against blitzing safeties and linebackers.

Reyes blew up a blitzing Rayshawn Jenkins pretty violently and Jenkins lost his mind and started swinging.
The two went at it until broken up by others. Then a minute later Jenkins attacked him again. LOL
(Jenkins had no chance against this guy, but Reyes sure got under his skin)
Anyway - just football stuff IMO, nothing critical, just sharing the story.

Just heard on 1010 that Anton Harrison is schooling Aiden Hutchinson.

Also: Trevor lighting up their secondary for a couple of TDs and Tank ripping off a couple of long runs. Travon Walker stuffed a run.

This could be best news all off season if he really takes a leap.

Seems as though all of our younger high picks are thriving at practice, love to hear it. Devin would be the most refreshing I think, dude has all the tools he was just out of position A LOT in his rookie season. Anton dominating in his rookie season would be phenomenal as well.

Was driving from appt. to office and heard live reports disseminated on 1010XL that Lawrence completed touchdowns to Ridley and Kirk, + Zay drew a PI against CGJ in the end zone (a would be TD)
Tank has ripped off 2 big runs.

So for whatever reason, I’m posting these tweets the same way before but since it transitioned to “X” (hilarious) they’re not posting the same.

Any clue as to why?

Expect red zone efficiency to take a big leap this year with so many options for defenses to cover, and so many different plays run from the same looks.

RPO looks to play a significant role
