Anton Harrison Rookie Progress

#1

Only saw one bad snap from him yesterday when he let Fowler get past him quick for a TFL.

Would have been cool to see him face starters, but... preseason.

Other than the whoop by Fowler he looked very good. He settled in nicely

Would have been nice to see him go against Parsons and Lawrence for a rep or two.

Watch #72 on plays 5,8,9

There were 2 times he chose to pull up early without finishing his block and in both cases that defender made the tackle. Both times were running plays.

On the Kirk TD pass, he was pushed then pulled which allowed the DE to get around him quick but luckily Lawrence threw the ball before the DE got to him.

Another pass play he was bull rushed all the way back to the QB. Playing a little high at times and needs to block until the echo of the whistle.

Other than the 1 play where Fowler beat Harrison, he was solid. He finished his run blocks, and he showed sturdy footwork. I think he’s the best LT on the team, but I’m cool with him on the right side.

You have hard on for your hate for little. There were also a lot of plays in that clip where he stonewalled his guy one on one.

Walker looked good.

Your interpretation of him letting up on a run block looks more to me like him letting go before he gets called for holding or a defender just eventually getting free. He was doing his job.

The TD pass was a good rep from him too.
Trevor had 3.4 seconds to throw that ball.
Well beyond the magic 2.5 second mark that NFL coaches aim for giving their QB to make his reads and releasee the football.
You give Trevor 3.4 seconds every snap and he'll light the league on fire.

Great, just when things start looking up for the franchise our QB gets arrested for arson.

Your hate for Little is odd when at times was our best lineman.  He looked good and some say he has had the best camp out of everybody on the team.  He is likely our LT going forward and it's good to have someone that can hold it down.

I’m just not sold on Little.

Looking like he was a good pick.

Full breakdown of Anton Harrison’s first preseason game vs Dallas Cowboys.

“I think he’s going to be in that top echelon of offensive lineman.”

He also pointed out some other interesting stuff. This guy knows his stuff. I agree with all of it.

His shoulder bothering him again today at the lions practice? Don't mess around with a shoulder injury on a lineman. When in doubt have him skip practice

I just came across the following regarding Anton Harrison:

Related to the Tweets, Aidan Hutchinson missed practice on Monday with an ankle injury.  Regardless, considering that Hutch has had a very good Training Camp, props to Harrison in todays' practice against Hutch.  Hopefully, both players will be cleared to practice tomorrow.

The reviews have been so good you feel like he could start right now and we'd be in a good spot. The fact the same shoulder keeps bothering him is a bit worrisome. Those can be sneaky long term injuries. Think you could easily argue that rest would be more valuable than reps at this point.

Tony Boselli would say to give him a rest.

Shoot it up and play. If it’s bad then rest it.
