Scherff had no business helping the RT on that play, Guards always help inside out. Always. I’m telling you guys, Scherff missed his assignment. You can see he looked right, then was like Oh crap…ahhhh screw it…
It was not a screen play. Look at Scherff, dude is legit just watching the play and not doing anything. He did this on about 6 or 7 plays,. Bartch flat out got whipped like that all game. Little could have maybe went and got a LB while stabilizing Bartch with straight arm like RBs do when they follow their FB. That's not Shcerff's assignment - especially when Strange is supposed to make his way behind Harrison and back inside. Fortner [BLEEP] up bad - and you're gonna have to just eat crow on this one. He got Trevor killed and has to share some blame for a tipped ball INT.

I’m going to disagree on this one. If Fortner was expecting help and Scherff didn’t help then it’s busted from rip. It still doesn’t explain why there are 3 Colts in Trevor’s grill and Scherff ain’t blocking nuttin
Thank you for posting those short clips. Would love to see the other ones.
Cam Robinson can’t come back soon enough. I was thinking we cut him loose next year, now I’m not so sure.

Both TE's have blocking assignments at the line and all the linemen stay at level one. I think Bigsby is just the check down here.
The ineptitude of the offensive line was mind blowing today. These guys didn't look quite this bad last year, what the heck is going on.

When have you ever seen a TE pull to the middle of the line to pass protect? He was supposed to be the receiver not a pass blocker. It was a busted screen. The entire line blocks right and Trevor starts rolling left before he sees the pocket has collapsed and he needs to get rid of the ball. Scherff wasn't there to help Fortner. Honestly looks more like it's on Bartch/Farrell and maybe Little(?) than on Fortner. Kind of looks like they wanted to get the defense flowing right so they could hit Strange on the rollout to the left. Strange getting tripped up basically ruined the play. I feel like they ran similar plays to Engram a bunch last season, but this one looks like it was designed to have Strange go through the gap between Fortner and Bartch which I don't recall them doing. Generally he'd cut either in front of or behind the O-line, not between. Kind of hard to know where to assign blame blocking wise, as Fortner and Bartch's guys would be out of the play if Trevor could have rolled left. Farrell seemed to be in a tough spot, made worse by Strange getting tripped up. It really does look like that A gap between Center and LG was the intended path for Strange. I think we saw them do this last year but I'm not certain. Could be a new wrinkle. (more often he'd run behind the whole OL I think) Tricky play to pull off.

Strange was the passing target. Had he not been tripped but instead stepped through the line, then TL would have dumped the ball to him and he would have had a 7 or 8 yards of clear space. Strange isn't looking for a block, at all. His eyes are firmly fixed straight ahead of his body as he anticipates a break in the line to step through. Meanwhile, the middle linebacker had stepped too far forward chasing the DL's. But Strange caught Harrison's leg and that was that.
