This is not some knee jerk reaction from a terrible performance against a most important division rival who has the most people on IR in the league. This is from watching the direction of the team and enough film to identify the weaknesses. This is still early in the season and could improve with time. Here is hoping that the return of Cam Robinson will help bolster a struggling offensive line. So why are the Jaguars a bad team and what can be done to improve it this season?
Who or what has major issues: 1. Trevor Lawrence: It is so bad that telecast analyst during live broadcast are calling out how he is missing open receivers. IN todays game against Houston they pointed out a couple of times he missed kirk wide open during the live broadcast. He has not played terrible but far from Elite. He also hasn't played as poor as the numbers have shown either. This offensive line is bad possibly slightly worse than last year while Receivers are dropping key passes. Lawrence should have alteast 3 or 4 more Td's if it were not for Receivers unable to make catches. 2. Offensive Line: The pass protection has to get better. Lawrence is getting no favors from this line on too many snaps. In every game, I spot free rushers coming in giving the QB no time. Outside of hoping for Cam to come in and help this line there is no help on the way. This needs a serious rebuild next year. 3. Receivers: Ridley has played poor the last 2 games. Last week he vanished and this week he choked. He is dropping catches that are just killing momentum of this offense. The early TD drop in the first quarter set the tone. Agnew fumbling the ball added insult to injury. Kirk is the only man doing his job but Lawrence has tunnel vision to Ridley on most plays. These guys are better than what they have shown. Just catch the damn ball! 4. Pass Rush to few surprise is a major issue again. Walker is not that guy while Josh Allen is a great beta edge Rusher. These 2 were shut down by a banged up backup offensive line. A few flashes in the pan instead of consistent forces on the edge. We can only hope that Walker can develop. Edge rushers league wide are coveted because there are so few dominant guys. There is no help on the way. 5. Defense in general are playing very bi-polar. We have been singing high praises on Tyson Campbell and he got cooked all day today. This secondary just let a rookie QB with a backup offensive line throw for 280, 2tds, and I believe 0 sacks. Just a poor performance for this defense. 6. Special teams were supposed to be a strength but they were a major factor in a loss. Blocked fg early in the game leads to Texans first td. That is a 10 point swing. Then they allow a slow fb to rumble down for 85 yards for a td when the team is building momentum for a comeback. Overall this team seems to be playing with 0 inspiration. The smile by Lawrence after the terrible int sums it up. The passion and edge this team played with during the playoff run has vanished. The offense was slow and slugish most of the game. This team has to reset and change the way they are doing things. Stop running on first down every time, Blitz more and do not rely on inconsistent edge rushers Walker/Allen to get home, Throw the ball downfield more often and do not try 10+play drives every time, etc. 1-2 can quickly turn around but not the way these guys have been playing. Currently this is a bad football team We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Right now this is a tea that consistently makes mistakes. That's a bad football team. This offense should be better. Much better!

God, I hate that we still suck. Last year looked like we were on to something... And now, it just reminds me of the 2008 and 2018... Like we just still suck. We can flash, but we aren't ever going to be a legit organization. It's just feels unreal. We looked like we were about to be a real team last year. And now? I mean, we just got blown out by a franchise that is in the middle of a rebuild!!!!
I mean, if you watch other teams play... Other QBs have so much time to throw the ball. But when I watch Trevor Lawrence behind the Jaguars line, it looks completely different. I don't know, is our O-Line really this terrible? CJ Stroud, a Rookie was behind an O-Line that was supposed to be suspect, and he had time. But Trevor Lawrence looked like he had no time to even think before someone was on him.... You might as well have kicked my dog and kissed my sister and told me that you'll be back next week to do the same. And there's nothing I can do about it. That's the level of impotence this franchise has. We're pathetic. We're Kyle Browkowski's cousin from New York. We're that one ant in your sink that you just turn the faucet on. We just have no spark, no passion, no creativity, no determination like we did last year. I don't recognize this team from last year's team. This isn't the Jaguars we rooted for last year.
Some watched us play the first 2 weeks and thought we were going to destroy the Texans lol. I was praying for a 1 point win

#1 overall pick Walker. When will they accept it. I wish we could get a DE that can get 14-16 sacks. Walker or Allen will never be that dude.
Stroud was the most sacked QB but the Jaguars didn’t get 1 sack.
Man, I was really drinking the kool-aid this year. I thought we finally had the formula for success. But Trevor looks average, our line is awful, our receivers keep dropping balls, our defense can't get pressure on a hospital ward OL...
This offense isn't explosive. Not at all.
Yeah Minshew and the Colts look superior. Disappointing. Hopefully it turns around in London.

As a team in the AFC south:
We are last in points allowed We are 2nd to last in points scored Early, but concerning. Its going to be the ultimate irony if we lose the division to the Minshew led Colts.

Some like to point out that they are professionals and aren't motivated like college players. They are motivated by money. Whatever that means.
We might lose both London games. It would be fitting to be 1-4 to welcome the Colts to their first win in Jacksonville in a while.
