Also, in reference to Stroud... why would Houston fans NOT feel better about Stroud than Lawrence? Stroud is already having a better rookie year than Trevor did.

That wasn't bad luck; that was bad execution. There were 4 guys there but two over ran him initially, then 1 tackled a jag and the last one over ran him and gave him the edge. They weren't disciplined. They were trying to be "the hero" with the great hit and get possible fumble.

Jaguars had more yards, more first downs, fewer punts, and more time of possession. 3 turnovers and 1 kickoff return was the difference. That's luck. This game was more of a "learn from it" experience than a "blow it all up and start again" one, ugly as it was.

Yes, Stroud set an NFL rookie record in his first 3 games.  121 attempts with no interceptions.  That's better than everyone, including Trevor Lawrence.  So, as was mentioned, as someone from Houston I feel good about our QB situation.

It's way to early for that to mean anything long term. but then again I just saw a "TLAW is as good as (2 X super bowl winning) Mahomes" thread on this board, and I didn't see you chirping in there.

That rookie record is kind of meh. Sure is nice, and he deserves praise right now. But is no indication of how good he will end up being.

The thing Texans fans should be really celebrating is that their HC, OC, and DC all seem to be doing their job very well. Putting their guys in position to succeed, playing hard and smart.

Yes! Of course. Not blow it up , as in gut the roster and fire the coaches. Press Taylor is the object of anger and scorn right now. Rightly so. But he’s a good young coach who is out of his current depth. You don’t fire him. You take play calling off his plate and give them back to Doug, as is what reportedly happened in the second half. You don’t cut Ridley and Agnew. You play to their strengths and protect them from their weaknesses. Things are fixable. But for Pete’s sake, get to fixing’!
