Quote:Please God.. not David Lamm. That guy can't say a sentence without sounding like he is gargling gravy.

This. ^

I'm amazed he is still even gainfully employed as a "journalist" in any form.  He's just  terrible.

The team will still have some control. I cannot imagine they let that bozo near the broadcast.

At least I would hope.

I have been calling for an upgrade to Brian Sexton for the Play-By-Play for quite some time now....about time some more of you catch on...

Sexton is pretty good as a host for the Jaguars themed shows during the week, though, credit where its due. He's just not a very good play caller. His voice has never been what I would consider an "NFL level" play by play voice....maybe lower level college or high school level is where you'd expect to hear someone like him.

I don't listen to Sexton often. I'm either at the game or watching away games on TV.

There has been a thread about getting rid of Sexton every season since I joined this board. I'm sure they were just following your lead, though.

It's clear that a number of Jaguars fans don't care for him.

It's also clear that many Jag fans are either indifferent, or like Sexton.  I'd say that's probably the majority.

I am indifferent. Because I am usually either at the game or watching on TV at home. When I listen, he is fine. I think Lageman does good. Boselli was bad. Dump that buffoon.

I'm not crazy about Sexton either...but I'm pretty sure it's because TMD doesn't like him.

You were definitely the first. Is there anything you don't know or miss? It's unbelievable, you are just wayyyy too smart. I'm sure you get that all the time. I wonder if they sell automatic back patters. Like a robotic hand that attaches to your shoulder and every time you say something it just pats you on the back. I think you should look into that.

He proposed that idea a long time ago.

If you ever listen to radio or NFL Network highlight packages, they often use the radio calls from the local broadcasters.   Sexton has the worst big play calls of any NFL radio broadcaster...  I love they guys that do the Titans, Chiefs, and Raiders games...  Local fans know it when they score touchdowns!!!  I guess there's a reason why I never see that many fans bothering to listen to the Jags radio calls like you see in many stadiums...    You can get the same info from twitter...

But it does seem he has more time on his contract so I doubt the Jags will bother paying him off to bring in a new broadcaster at this time...  They did the change on stations because the contracts were up...

I listen at the games. Adding Tony to the booth didn't help a thing. He was awful. Lageman is very good in the booth. I think Sexton is fine. After 20 years, he's the voice of the Jaguars.
