Cam played bad and got hurt. Walker got hurt early, looked like a knee but he stayed in uniform and on the sideline in the second half.

He played a bit ugly. He was ran around and got Trevor strip-sacked. Another play he whiffed and fell over and Trevor ran into a sack. By the same defender.

I disagree with the bolded...

Yeah, Cam went for a chop block, but it gave Trevor plenty of time to make a read and throw the ball, or work the pocket better.  Instead, he bailed on the play and ran directly to where the rusher was recovering from.

I just can't blame Cam on that one.  I do blame the fact that the O-Line has been so inconsistent that Trevor doesn't trust the line to hold enough to go through progressions often.  But man, that play was just a really bad decision by Lawrence.  He ran right into a defender that was blocked and out of the play.  Instead of bailing out, he could have climbed the pocket.

Maybe I'm seeing it wrong, but that's how it looked on the replays.  I'd love to see a .gif of that sack...

Cam never gets overpowered, he always gets beat to the outside which is why I think he would be a better guard. Doug needs to tell Cam he's going to LG and if he won't do it bench him

Any news on Little’s injury?
Respect the game.  Play with a sense of urgency.

1.)  Take care of the ball.  Win the turnover battle.

2.)  It's all about 3rd down.  Win on 3rd down to win the game.

3.) Playmakers make plays.  The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays.

Learn from the great collapse of 2023.

Will we have to change his name to Scooter?

Wow. PFF never fails to amaze me.
I rewatched the first 3 quarters of yesterday's game and kept an eye on the OL.
I thought Shatley was doing OK on pass blocks for the most part.

Welp - PFF gave him a 9.7
I guess it got a lot worse in the 4th Q. LOL

Anyway here are the grades:

Harrison 46.5 - the rookie struggles continue - he got beat around the outside several times
Scherff - 66.2 (89 pass pro grade) still trending up!! great to see.
Fortner - 46.9 (48 pass - 45 run) ugly game
Shatley 47.1 - (66 run Blk)
Cam - 58.9 - (76 pass - 49 run)

Little was graded highly - but a small sample of course

Three linemen grading in the 40's is a continued recipe for disaster

Hance was a breif bright spot as a backup - 73 grade passing and 60.1 overall

So funny to see Scherff highly rated when he whiffs something awful on this play from Ed Oliver.

It's possible that was Fortners guy when Oliver went inside.  Fortner should of helped Scherff or the LG one and he helped neither.  He just sticks his arms out like that's going to do something.   He should of helped one of the guards and hit one of the defenders in the mouth.  He has no nasty to him and one of the softest centers I've ever seen.  He's the worst center we have ever had unless he somehow improves

Eric Mangini just made the most ignorant comment I have ever heard from an NFL veteran coach on television. He stated on FS1 that our O line should get the credit for yesterday’s win because of Travis ETN’s impressive performance. What a moron! Everybody in the NFL knows that our O line is trash. And that they almost got Trevor killed yesterday.

This O-Line requires really great play calling to ensure wins against top tier teams. The game plan yesterday, along with Trevor properly audibling out of a terrible run play on that 3rd down to Ridley, was the reason we won.

In the mean time, last I heard, they didn't think Little had an ACL tear, which is good. But he could still be out for mulitple weeks. Baalke should be looking at trading partners to go and upgrade our interior Line. Fortner had a terrible game. Scherff, apparently had an OK game. I didn't think Harrison had as bad a game as PFF is grading him, but, what do you do. To me, the interior of the line needs to be addressed. I just don't know if any team is going to trade a decent Guard or Center before the trade deadline. Maybe in the post season, but that won't help us for a play off push.

Yeah, I heard that.  Dude clearly didn't watch the game.  Trevor was absolutely the reason we won that game.  I love when Mangini snarks on Nick, it's hilarous.  But Mangini, Brou, and Wildes are way to critical of The Prince that was Promised.

Edit: Not to say the Defense shouldn't be given a ton of credit. LOL. I'm just saying on the offensive side of the ball, Trevor was a huge part of why we were successful. So many times in the 3rd and 4th quarter we were inside our own 10, and Trevor passed us out of terrible field position and flipped the field/kept the drives running.

LOL

It's the same mentality that we saw from folks last year praising the OL because Trevor wasn't getting sacked.

You can't evaluate OL play from the box score

I'm not sure who was praising the O-Line...  But Sherff and Fortner played better last year than they have so far this year.  Especially the last few weeks.  Fortner is regressing, and Scherff is like a zombie out there.  I remember week 1 against the clots, Scherff had his ankle rolled on and was out for a quarter or so.  But there isn't ever any mention that he's not at 100%...   I don't know if he's hobbled or what, but the dude is not getting it done out there right now.  As for Fortner?  pshhhh.  He's just been disappointing.  You'd think he'd be making progress from last year and not going backwards.

Maybe it's time to look at holding Phil Rauscher accountable and finding his replacement.

I don't know if I have the energy right now to prove this wrong/right.  Maybe you can help me out?  Post some plays from Sunday where Scherff was doing his job?  You know?  Like prove it?

It's not that I discount PFF, but sometimes I do.

As far as run blocking, I think thats a whole oline issure.  As far as pressure, that was mostly Cam, Fortner, and Harrison Sunday from what i seen
