Because Biden's not looking so hot at the moment.  The voters are irrational and will punish any President who was in office when inflation spikes happen, even if the inflation is back down to normal.  The voters irrationally expect the President to make the prices go back down to what they were before, and of course Biden can't do that.  No one can.  But the Dems are irrational too.  A more rational Democratic party would be recruiting a new young candidate who can distance themselves from Biden's record of inflation, but trying to get Trump off the ballot is a rational move as well.

Especially considering Trump actually repeatedly broke the law and objectively shouldn't be on the ballot, strategy aside.  Lawbreakers shouldn't go unpunished, conservatives used to believe that.

You think The SCOTUS is going to let that happen?

Doing this would literally be election interference..

Nice little summary, well written. Agreed on all points.

https://twitter.com/TheCalvinCooli1/stat...w_phA&s=19

"Gaetz fought against the Swamp and won. He stood his ground. Folks are always about fighting the swamp. This is what fighting against the Swamp looks like. A lot of folks owe @mattgaetz an apology.

Do you realize Frank Luntz was one of his key advisors, right? This means Luntz will no longer deliver his left-wing agenda behind a façade of highly expensive focus groups. Luntz has done nothing other than help the GOP lose for years. What did McCarthy do as Speaker that was so great? Absolutely nothing.

I love Jim Jordan, but his time has come and gone. He is no longer the Jim Jordan of ten years ago. Along with the big tech concerns what he did do to put an end to the ridiculous notation he would be McCarthy's assistant Speaker?

To President Trump's credit, he endorsed Jim Jordan, and he struck a nail in the coffin to Tom Emmer's chances of becoming Speaker.

For the RINOS like (Ellzey, Ferguson, Granger, Gonzales, Rutherford, Simpson, and Womack) who voted against Jordan, they should be primary out since they live in Safe Red Districts. For others like Bacon and Lawyer, nothing of value will be lost if they lose next year.

We went nearly three weeks without having a speaker due to the Bow Tie's hidden agenda of wanting McCarthy to return to power. McCarthy worked behind the scenes to sabotage potential Speakers so it would seem like no one else would get to 217 other than him. In the conference meeting when Johnson was about to be nominated McCarthy had a meltdown saying that isn’t how you elected a speaker. Remember he undermine America First Candidates in 2022.

The people who deserve power are oftentimes the ones who least want it like Johnson, not someone who is power-hungry like McCarthy. I like how Johnson talks about his Faith. Let’s compare that to how McCarthy mocked Tim Burchett's Faith.

How did not having a speaker for three weeks impact your daily life? It didn’t impact my life whatsoever. Does the American public care? No, most people are ignorant of what is happening in the real world. Will anyone remember? No one will remember in six months. Will this impact 2024? No. Most polls show Conservatives approved of McCarthy removal. Only folks mad about his removal are lobbyist and K-Street.

For Mike Johnson, the way the left and RINOs have acted tells me everything I need to know about him. I find it very strange that a few so-called America First people are already trying to destroy him. Where was all of this phony outrage directed towards McCarthy? Nowhere to be seen. I hope Mike Johnson does a great job as Speaker; I will be praying for him. It’s nice to have a Speaker who I can respect. He will be the most conservative speaker in our lifetime. With Johnson as Speaker I believe we will keep control of the house in 2024.

The main question was it worth it? Without a shadow of a doubt in mind, it was completely worth it to get rid of McCarthy and get Johnson. Hats off to Biggs, Burchett, Buck, Crane, Gaetz, Good, Mace, and Rosendale for being fearless and courageous and making this thing happen. God Bles America.

And that is the Talking Points Memo."

I do think SCOTUS would respect the decision of the Colorado Supreme Court in this, yes.  But we shall see. If the Colorado court decides based on their state Constitution and state law, SCOTUS will probably let it stand. If their decision attempts to interpret federal law or the US Constitution, SCOTUS will review. I don't believe there are any federal laws about ballot access for presidential candidates.

Can someone explain all of the antisemitism coming from the left? I honestly don’t understand it beyond their desire to align themselves to a group they believe is persecuted. I guess killing 1400 men, women and children in a surprise attack is okay as long as it’s the oppressors who are murdered. Right?

The Arabs conflate the decolonization struggle that states like Egypt went through with the Palestinian struggle for rights and recognition.  Lefties love decolonization.  The Arabs learned this rhetoric from the Soviets, and there's obviously a connection between the Soviets and the left as well.

Even in the US, most people think the Jews in Israel have mostly European ancestors, which would make them settlers from one point of view.  But that's false.  Most of the Jews in Israel have Middle Eastern ancestry.  States like Egypt and Syria and Yemen forced them to move to Israel. They are refugees, not settlers. But when the Palestinian radicals call them settlers, people in the US tend to believe it.

Don't you want to be pushed around by a hobo's bodyguard?

Ohhh.. new movie idea..

The Hobo's Bodyguard.. Ask questions, get hobo'd lolol

At least the whole movie budget won't be spent on expensive clothes. I'm sure he'll settle for Goodwill attire, as long as he gets to keep them afterwards for work..

Marx hated the Jews, the modern left follows suit. After the collapse of the New Left in the early 70s many of them entered Academia where they began corrupting the students with their hideous ideology of anti-Semitism and anti-White racism. Now the left is back and they've focused their efforts on the upper middle class since the working class strength in America is a thing of the past. Instead of Worker's Rights we get Climate Change and Gender Identity politics instead. The "decolonization" of Palestine, Holocause Inversion, and BDS movements are all simply tools of the communists to defame the only funtional democracy in the Middle East. The Cold War might've ended, but the assault on us by the left is relentless.

That guy is Houthi, he's not part of the Yemeni government. The Houthi are an Iranian-backed spliter group of Shiites who are fighting against the Sunni majority in Yemen.

Pretty powerful.. Will make you think and reassess everything they tried to teach you in school.

The idea that funding for Israel should be tied to funding for the IRS violates that single subject rule you sometimes talk about.
