For the Lawrence critics, what is your plan? Trade him? Draft his replacement?

I dont think its that serious, but if im coaching him im working on the basics. Hes made the easy plays look challenging often and thats worrying.

You can simultaneously criticize him and still hope he stays. If I were the QB coach, I'd start by just trying to eliminate the silly mistakes and improving the decision making in the pocket. I realize the OL sucks but he seems to be missing open guys way too much. Need to work on ball security. Reducing the small mistakes can add up.

So we're happy he is our qb but he still isn't good enough. If he doesn't get any better and this is who he is, can we win a super bowl with him? And if not, how much longer do you givevhim to improve? I take it neither of you are giving him a 2nd contract at this point.

When we had time he held the ball too long.  Didn't see the field well enough. Ball security.  Lack of touch.  Lack of timing. 

Coaching didn't help.  Empty against what is now the best pass rush tandem in football with a rookie tackle and a guy you want to get rid of....  come on man. 

One team looked desperate for a win another team looked high on press clippings.

Were you watching the all-22? Trevor normally isn't hesitant to throw to open guys in his field of vision. Seemed more like the niners did a great job of rushing and covering.

No, we want to keep him because he can and frequently is capable of elite or nearly elite level play. But he does have stretches where he plays like [BLEEP] and those occasions are worthy of criticism. Even if he’s never elite consistently but a top 15 player consistently with flashes of great play, that’s better than most teams have.

No one is arguing if Trevor knows how to play QB... I am only stating if we want to crown the guy, he needs to play better. You think this tape breakdown is a display of elite QB play? Y I K E S. The 1st/3rd play is a drop, 2nd play is an bad mechanics/late throw/wrong drop pick whatever you think it is(Likely poor footwork/drop) its the SAME PROBLEM he had in KC throwing uncatchable balls in the end zone, only 1 of the 3 toe tappers were even close to completions and Zay was in fact lazy there and should have scored. He also whiffed on a wide open Zay as well, 3 stinkers in the red area. I have no bias against the guy, he is a good QB...  BUT, if you can sit here with a straight face and say Trevor is playing elite/top 5 QB football... We aren't looking at the same QB.

once we get rolling and trevor has more trust.  we could be very dangeroud, we are scoring 30+ in 2 games and won by double digits in  all 4 wins.  with a 1/2 power offense.

It was a poor call for the situation.  We didn't even need to burn much clock here or get a 1st down. Just get the 3 score lead.

What's kind of disappointing is Petersen tripling down on how right the call was when being questioned.

I think we've been over this, the wise fan would understand that's the safe call to make, and fan that fans is gonna call out the lineman who missed a block or the tackler who wrenched on the leg to make the stop or the groundskeeper who left the grass a shade too long.
