Last year we were 2-7 at this time,  let that sink in.

Yeah, what a hole we put ourselves in this year?  How can we ever recover?  

(Ackshully we were 3-6 last year at this point and then lost to go to 3-7.  We were never 2-7.)

This is why it's not the time to panic. Especially after getting beat senseless by arguably the class of the NFC Conference. All we really learned on Sunday was the following:

1. Our team is a good team, good, not great. Good teams can win divisions, good teams can make it into the post season, good teams can even win a play-off game or two with a few lucky breaks. They won't go deep though.

2. Our areas of weakness, which have been overstated and mentioned on here since last year and now this year, it was put on display on Sunday and FULLY exposed for how awful it really is. 

It's an old saying but it's always ringed true. It starts in the trenches. We simply do not have enough power, dominance and consistency on the defensive line and offensive line to seriously challenge the top tier teams in the NFL.

3. It's all Lawrence's fault. Nobody wants to hear excuses. He has to play above the X's and O's. He has to play above his counterparts. He has to play better than the play calling. He has to make a perfect pass on every attempt. He has to run with the football when there's yards to be had in front of him. He has to stop turning the football over like Josh Allen. 3 points is awful to look at. It's his fault.

This is it. Every game needs to be treated like it's sudden death. Win or go home. I know Doug keeps telling the press and media here that he's telling this team that they haven't done anything yet. It's true. They haven't. So, why is it not resonating with them then? They looked gutless yesterday. Gutless.

Where's the fire? Where's the energy? Where's the nastiness? Where's the mean streak? They got completely manhandled yesterday. That's what great teams do. If you want to be great like that? Take control of the line of scrimmage like they did. Show some [BLEEP] courage and trust out there. 

Let it [BLEEP] rip offensively. Less of this east and west [BLEEP]. Get north and [BLEEP] south. Get downhill. Get physical. Line the mother [BLEEP] up in power and let's go. Figure it out. Drive with your legs. Find your [BLEEP] balls boys. Tell your wife to [BLEEP] off about going out the night before.

This is the NFL now. Not Clemson university. Not your school you went to. Get serious.

I noticed this a few times in live action, didn't even need the replay. In a couple instances, it was clear that he snapped the ball stood up and then just seemed to look around while defensive players ran by him. I know defensive lineman in the NFL are faster than college but good googly moogly, put your hands on somebody!

If it's just a base three or four? Not sure how else it needs to be accounted for outside of:

LT = RE assignment
LG = DT next to RE
RT = LE assignment
C = DT right in front of him
RG = Help Fortner or Harrison out depending on the look

They can't get it done as a base five. It's at that point now to where if it's 2nd and long and they're thinking pass, they need to consider using Farrell or Strange to peel on the LE or RE so the tackles can come inside more and help out the interior's sorry [BLEEP]. 

I want to see more designed rollouts because of the incompetency of the interior. Minimum 5 per game. I don't want to see anymore shotgun attempts in 3rd and 1 situations. I want to see twin TE sets there with Farrell and Strange on the left side to stagger the blocks out.

At least get the [BLEEP] defense thinking it's going left. Maybe you think shovel pass to Engram or some goofy [BLEEP] on the right. Idk. Spit balling out of my [BLEEP] here at this point. Just trying to think how else we can work around how [BLEEP] box this line has been and how god awful it is on 3rd and chump change.

This is one of my biggest frustrations. I don't know if it's communication, players thinking too much and not just playing fast or getting beaten physically, or a combination of all 3 but I'm tired of seeing 2-3 Olinemen standing watching Lawrence getting sacked by their 2-3 assignments. And it's happening multiple times a game.

This would be a perfect time for Trevor to go out and throw 3-4 TDs and have a real bounce back game. Will it happen? probably not he's more of a 2 tds 280 yards kind of guy when it comes to his good games, but we'll see.

Roll the QB out of the pocket then. Identify the match-up you like the most. 

In this game? More than likely not the interior again, nothing unusual there. So, maybe make an effort to at least roll him away from the primary pressure points you expect on defense and layer some routes that way to give him two to three looks.

I think the Week 18 game last season was exactly how Vrabel wants the T*tans to be. Lean heavily on Henry, hope that opens up some PA opportunities and chew as much clock as possible and limit the amount of drives for the other team.

Now they have Levis at QB they seem to be trying to open up the passing game more. 

Walker and Allen could have big games here and the secondary needs to make Levis have to throw to receivers that aren't open. Can't give him easy outs.

But did you forget Trevor is wearing a knee brace and nursing a torn MCL?

They are limiting that stuff for a reason.
