they're selling out for the run and while Trevor's doing enough he's not making them pay like he should; the offense still lacks that home run deep threat with speed to take the top off; Zay is kinda that and the other skill players can moonlight at it but that element being absent restricts a lot of what we can do. Id love to see D'ernest as the RB and Etienne out wide on a go route like he did against Pittsburgh, make them allocate a corner or someone with speed to respect etienne to take a defender out of the box so we can pound the ball a little and then have a jet sweep to etienne for a changeup.

I think consistency on the interior as Walker-Cleveland-Fortner-Scherff-Harrison get more comfortable will help; the run game opened up a bit once Cleveland came into the game.

Right, and having a deep threat to give him the option of consistently punishing them deep would be a fantastic addition. No one questions Trevors ability to hit big throws, we just have to get seperation down field and gie TLaw long enough (as in not get trevor killed as soon as the ball is snapped) to hit it

Outside of the 1 throw in the redzone that was a hair late/missed TD opp. He had another great game. Ridley holds on to his TD catch and Trevor is a beat faster on that redzone throw and that was likely a career day for TL. Can't complain though, that's 2 stellar games from 16. He's warming up.
