This year has been a gut punch up there with 99 even though we were a much better team then and the stakes were higher. You have to love misery to be a fan of this team with the way they collapse. We will probably be picked to finish 3rd or 4th in the division next year and rightly so tbh.

There's going to be a lot of hot takes and overreaction but just remember it's 2 winning seasons in a row. There's been progress and we still have a long way to go. Players and staff need to be adjusted.
So we finish 9-8 again. Are we just as good as last year?

It was a collapse of monumental scale. We were 8-3 and finished 9-8 and missed the playoffs by losing to a 5-win team. Our supposed franchise quarterback looked pedestrian at best after we told he was the second coming of whoever the [BLEEP] all offseason. There is no good in that, period. Don't bother sugarcoating it.
A lot of talk early in the season when the team was winning about how the team wasn’t looking impressive during those wins and wondering if it was sustainable.
Turns out it wasn’t. Disappointing season. A lot of blame to go around.

It all depends on whether Shad Khan grows a set of nuts and does something. But I’m afraid he’ll do like he always does and just sits on his hands. The big things that stick out are Oline and Dline, need more talent and depth and the roster as a whole needs more depth. Big offseason for Baalke or a new GM. Coaching has had its ups and downs. Doug will have to be brutally honest whether Caldwell and Press are the right guys. They can point to injuries and lack of talent and they'd have a point but they have their share of blame too. |
