Jan. 6 Committee deleted more than 100 encrypted files before GOP took majority

#1

Maybe they took lessons from Hillary........

House Jan. 6 Committee deleted more than 100 encrypted files days before GOP took majority: sources

Loudermilk is demanding then-Jan. 6 Chairman Thompson provide passwords for encrypted files

The former House Select Committee on Jan. 6 deleted more than 100 encrypted files from its probe just days before Republicans took over the majority in the House of Representatives, Fox News Digital has learned.

The House Administration Committee's Oversight Subcommittee is leading an investigation into Jan. 6, 2021, led by Chairman Barry Loudermilk, R-Ga. The panel is investigating the security failures on that day, as well as the "actions" of the former select committee investigating the Capitol riot.

It's not business as usual but it's also (probably) not corruption.
Every investigation is going to generate documents that are not meant for public consumption. Meeting notes, negotiations, etc. Business as usual would be that the Democrats hand over those types of documents to the Republicans and trust that the Republicans will maintain discretion. The Democrats don't trust the Republicans to do that in this case. Nor should they.

Here's Captain Quisling to defend the "opposition" party that he is somehow always is in favor of.

Aww, did I hurt Boo-Boo's feelings? You're a pathetic excuse for a "republican" and exactly why the term RINO is both accurate and pejorative. The democrats are grateful for your long and faithful service to their cause.

This hasn't been business as usual on either side for a very, very long time. The new business as usual is backstabbing, grandstanding, fighting and gnashing of teeth.

Corruption is all our government seems to deal in anymore.

The Republican leadership did not participate in the committee and ridiculed it mercilessly in real time.

But if the documents are above board, one would think they would be happy to hand them over in order to prove their case.

"This is above board" is different from "I'm cool with you giving this to the NY Post so they can create a sensationalist story off of it at a time of your choosing"

But if it’s above board, the facts will speak for themselves. No?

They don't know, the files themselves were recovered but they have requested all passwords.

The next step will be to break the encryption or passwords, not exactly sure what is left.

Doesn't work like that anymore.  The narratives are fractured and the people have no unified sense of truth.  Ask L2L.

That's irrelevant. Our government is supposed to be transparent. Every citizen should be angry that we don't know what it was. But, the placated gonna keep on keepin' on.
