They re-upped on Cleveland banking on him being better when healthy and acclimated. Good chance that works out fine IMO. Not a bad $ deal either.

I like it, if we do trade Cam I think RT is back in play at 17 because Little is on the last year of his deal as well.  I wouldn't mind a contract restructure to lower Cams cap hit this year if we are going to keep him even if it means adding another year to the contract.  As of now Harrison is the only starting tackle on the roster for next year

I dunno if Harrison is gonna be great at LT, but adding depth at Tackle would be great for the future, I gotta feeling that Cam is gone after this season. Little is TBD, but if he wants anywhere close to starter money, I let him chase the bag. If we can renew him at backup-level pricing, might be worth the offer.

I think the goal this April is to bring two guys in fresh, at minimum. FA has done well to patch, saving us from desperation. We can let the picks come to us, or jump when value presents itself.

I said a lot could change. I like the fact they addressed Center. I hope they address a lot more. Their conferences did not hint they were looking for change. They changed one of 5 and that is a good thing. Still not good enough to this point but again a lot could change.  I hope the team invest a ton more in offensive line.

Look for Harrison to play near or at a Pro Bowl level in 2024 and Cleveland will have more to offer with an offseason with the team.

Cooper Hodges has the potential to step in and play either guard position. Once he returns healthy he offers immediate high-end run blocking ability with his power and aggressiveness.

Little is probably one of the better swing tackles in the league.

Robinson will do his thing at LT.

We’ll see what they do with Fortner and Scherff with the draft and free agency.

We got bigger fish to fry over on the defensive side of the ball, starting with DT.

Not sure why anyone brings up Cooper.   Sure, if he's a halfway decent backup guard it's a win for the Jags.    In no way do I think he's a better guard than a healthy Scherff (who I'm not sold on) or Cleveland.

Replacing Fortner at center and getting a quality defensive tackle are both important moves this off season.

DT...Javon Kinlaw...or any decent DT is going to cost 10 million per year.
I'm thinking a quality center will cost the same.

That's 20 million to shore up the offensive and defensive line.

My point was maybe you shouldn't go off their actions like that before they actually have a chance to do anything other than bring back their own guys, which they did too. Of course their pressers didn't hint anything, since when have NFL guys like that EVER said what they meant? I can't believe so many people still think that they are transparent about their plans when they get up there and use 1,000 words to say nothing at all. We knew Harrison wasn't getting replaced, so that's 2 of the 5. Scherff got a new deal that made him affordable in price to production. Cleveland is a fine player and we got him for a good price. The left tackle is the only issue to me since Cam is way overpaid and risky for his average and now peaked level of play and they don't seem to have confidence in Little. Basically they acknowledged the issue with the line was the guy in the middle, brought in a great replacement, and helped the salary cap to set up Allen and TLaw for their mega-deals. It's been a really good couple of days for the front office and a really lousy one for all the naysayers (of which I am one btw).
