Or heck watch Double D play for this team. I always thought Montana was the GOAT but Brady out titled him. You look at what they had to do week in and out and the changes are massive. It would be a heavyweight boxing match and then it would heat up and get interesting in RD10 - RD12. Once you got around that end of the 3Q you were looking for a RB to break one long or a well timed screen pass to break long. I do mind as you pointed out before the heavy hand of the referees. I know they miss calls because that is a human element, but the willingness to favor one team is annoying and provocative.

Death of the Franchise - November 29, 2011 Fans deserve better. Thanks for all the good times too many are in the past. I think if you took a poll, 96% of NFL fans would reply that their team is on the wrong end of the referees bias. For example, you'll hear all game long that the refs aren't calling holding penalties against the opposing team's offense, then when one questionable penalty goes the fans way they'll reply that the refs "owed us one." This is particularly true when your team loses. "If they hadn't called that bulls@#t pass interference penalty against us in the third, we wouldn't have fumbled twice in the 4th quarter!!! Dang those refs are out to get us!!!"

Yup, I live in Kansas and according to all my Chiefs fan friends the refs hate the Chiefs and are always out to get them. We show less advertisements to registered users. NE with Brady is the exception. With them, the anger welled up when the refs didn’t help them as much as expected.

I'm more about the hits in that particular picture. They are not subjective fouls, the QB cannot be hit in the helmet or below the knees while he's in the pocket, end of story. I would love someone to review every QB hit in the League for a season and see how many times that call is made or "missed", by ref team, and who it was for and against. I watch most games every week and it seems apparent that some teams get cheap calls and others get no calls (not just the team I want to win), but I don't have the actual numbers to back it up. “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato

Could benefit the most as a rookie with an improved pass rush up front and being untested by NFL standards. Hope this kid has a game sealing or game breaking play or two this year against any of the divisional opponents. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? Some nice information about Trevis Gipson and his path to the Jags. Really gets me excited for the defense this year.

Sounds like he has the chops for it with Shuey onboard. Great depth on defense. Now if we could only say the same for the O line. It makes me nervous. Yes they are subjective. If a defensive player even slightly grazes a QB ref favorite a flag is throw, even if the touching didn't move the QB's head. (Brady) Now if the team or QB is not a ref favorite slap away boys! That did happen to TL last year a few times.

Flag that [bleep] every dang down, refs. Only reason it probably wasn't flagged was other contact drew him into the rusher, but that form is B. A. D. bad.
Hopefully this a better 2nd half football team this year.
