So, do you think people convicted of a felony should be locked up?

When the charges are legitimate, the judge is not compromised, the jury not tainted, and the prosecutor not a political hack, then yes.

Depends. Was it a misdemeanor politically altered to a felony?

Hunter is a bad person. The Bidens are a bad family.  You want your children to turn out like Trump's kids.

So basically, your answer is, when it's Trump, no, when it's Hunter Biden, yes.

You're a hypocrite.

Was the Hunter Biden jury allowed to listen to the defense?

Because Trump's jury wasn't allowed..

This isn't even his worst crime, Marty. I realize [BLEEP] the bride of your deceased brother isn't a crime, but we should move on to the money laundering charges next.

You defend the worst that humanity has to offer.

When there's actual evidence and not a Kangaroo Court in place. Absolutely.

Agreed. Hunter's worst crime is that [BLEEP] back tattoo.

Of course it's not his worst crime.  But it's the only crime that he was tried for.
Just like accounting fraud wasn't Trump's worst crime, but it's the only one he was tried for.

Question: can you name one other person who went to jail for lying on a federal firearms form, who wasn't convicted of anything else?

The form that your boy signed when buying the gun.  Note the paragraph right above his signature.

Quote:I certify that my answers in Section B are true, correct, and complete. I have read and understand the Notices, Instructions, and Definitions onATF
Form 4473. I understand that answering “yes” to question 21.a. if I am not the actual transferee/buyer is a crime punishable as a felony under Federal
law, and may also violate State and/or local law. I understand that a person who answers “yes” to any of the questions 21.b. through 21.l. as well as 21.n.
is prohibited from receiving, possessing, or purchasing a firearm. I understand that a person who answers “yes” to question 21.m.1. is prohibited from
receiving or possessing a firearm, unless the person answers “yes” to question 21.m.2. and provides the documentation required in 26.d. I also understand
that making any false oral or written statement, or exhibiting any false or misrepresented identification with respect to this transaction, is a crime
punishable as a felony under Federal law, and may also violate State and/or local law. I further understand that the repetitive purchase of firearms for the
purpose of resale to predominantly earn a profit without a Federal firearms license is a violation of Federal law

Question 21f:
Quote:f. Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance?
Warning: The use or possession of marijuana remains unlawful under Federal law regardless of whether it has been legalized or decriminalized
for medicinal or recreational purposes in the state where you reside.

It doesn't matter if one can name another person who went to jail for the same proven offense.  It is still a federal felony which was proven with overwhelming evidence.  There is no need for being charged and/or convicted of another crime.

Do you want me to go and look up the various business and tax accounting forms that Trump had to sign over the years with the state of New York?
Lots of forms warn lots of people of dire consequences. Yet actual prosecution is extremely rare, in fact it almost never happens.
I think there are too many forms to fill out in this country in general. I think it is too hard to comply with the letter of the law while filling out confusing forms. Lots of people fill them out incorrectly. But that's not the conversation we're having.

Isn't this what the majority of democrats were wanting anyway? More gun control? It starts by following the current laws.

That is such a shallow response.  It should state "So basically, your answer is, when it's Trump a Republican, no, when it's Hunter Biden a Democrat, yes.

That said, I'm glad to see him convicted.  The actual crime he was convicted of may be minor in comparison to other potential crimes that he hasn't been charged with, but in my opinion, the dude should be locked up just for being an idiot !!

Good thing the Clinton's are not best friends with the Bidens, otherwise, there would be people ending up at the bottom of the Delaware River tonight.

Great point. I agree. You have to actually prosecute the laws as written for people to realize that the law itself is too strict.
