The crazy liberals will do anything to distort the truth. Many believe this was one big staged event and Trump was in on it. You cannot fix stupid.

that's one thing about Republicans, they never distort the truth.  Everything is so accurate, regardless of whether Fox News pays $787 million in settlement fees.  It's all accurate.

1. A 223 round travels about 3200 feet per second fast than the speed of sound. (fact)
2. His main crew was diverted to cover the first ladies speech. These were subs and RUMORED to be temporary guys. (possible)
3. The Democrats have been trying to remove all of Trumps secret service protection. Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss  (fact)
4. Way too many people saw this guy and there was way too much time to stop him. (opinion)

I will be interested to see what the public is allowed to know as the investigation progresses.

PS. Trump's classified documents case dismissed on constitutional grounds.

There is a video of people Seeing this guy and even yelling 2 mins before the Shooting there is a guy with a gun on the roof.  Reports are local police were told and heard a story about the suspect pointing the gun at the officer and the officer ran.  I hope it isn't true but I heard about some woke minded rule where the suspect had to shoot first before they can react. If this is the case, fire the director and anyone in charge of making these rules.  I am not against diversity but look how many smaller females are guarding Trump.  If they had to drag him off they are in trouble.  Also these chicks were much smaller than him so it isn't the best for coverage. This is your typical Democratic policy of hiring based on Gender vs qualifications "inclusion."

There needs to be a serious investigation because this is simply unacceptable.  I saw an interview with a Secret Service agent who guarded Regan and he was dumbfounded by how bad of a job this was.  He could not believe how long they took to get him off stage and the fact that roof was not guarded at all times.  It is either complete incompetence or it was purposeful. The real sick stuff is hearing people disappointed Trump didn't die.  I cannot stand Joe Biden and think he is a terrible Human being but do not wish death on the man. Many of the Left have completely lost their minds while having no moral character.

Fair point.

I heard one explanation for why the police sniper did not shoot sooner is because the cop who climbed the ladder to confront the shooter was in the line of fire. It seems plausible.

There is video of the shooter on the roof but the camera operator was all over the place so it’s difficult to determine the precise timeline of events just before the shooting started.

Am I interpreting this right?

https://www.cnn.com/2024/07/14/politics/...index.html

So apparently the first shot was at 6:11:34 followed by Crooks' seven additional shots.

And then another shot at 6:11:50 (Gunshot, then woman screams) presumably the shot that kills Crooks.
So it took 16 seconds for the Secret Service to identify and neutralize the threat?

16 seconds! Please tell me I'm wrong.

The Smart man does not watch main stream news.  The smart man will watch independent news sources or from sources he trust.  The smart man can also decide if the media is lying or telling the truth.  The truth is everybody has an angle and you have to weed out The BS.

There are shows and programs you can easily weed out and know they are Slanted:  ALL of MSNBC, CNN, Left wing shows like the View, Most of Fox Programming, actually any Main Stream Network they all get funding from the defense department cannot be trusted.  I like to watch a collection of news and decide what I believe is the truth. A Great News source is Youtube.  Find some Youtubers who cover all the main stream networks and you get like 20 different news sources on one video.  I am not saying trust the youtubers opinions but they cover many different news sources at once so you get like a network of data is a small amount of time. Find some ones you align with and subscribe to a few.

Good points all around.  As a person deep in the Center, anything super biased toward the right or left turns me off so I typically steer away from MSM.  I'll give News Nation a shot and have indeed found some good perspectives on YouTube as well.  That said, when I'm on YouTube I typically get distracted and end up watching Engineering Disasters or something like the World's Most Dangerous Roads.

The distraction factor is very high.

Agreed. For me it's boobs, butts and BBQ. If I somehow find all three of that in a YouTube channel? I am gone for the rest of the evening. Sexy women BBQ'ing is the best thing on Earth.

Speaking of YouTube, this is a guy that I watch every now and then.  The channel isn't political, it's mostly about machines, making firewood, making lumber, etc.  He was at the Trump rally the day of the assassination attempt, and explains his perspective.  It's actually a better analysis than I have seen from the so-called "experts" on MSM.

Bongino, who is a former SS agent is strongly disputing today on his show the narrative that SS has to wait for a perpetrator to fire before returning fire.  Sure, common sense says you want to be sure before pulling the trigger, but that onus falls to the sniper team to make that decision and not to someone somewhere else.   He added that what he has heard from sources is that the sniper team had trouble getting a clear line of sight to the shooter due to the crest of the roof.  The shooter would have to expose himself to fire also due to the crest of the roof.  Shooter probably popped his head up and barrel over the crest and quickly fired knowing he had already been spotted by people in the crowd and fired off a few rounds.  That panic of having been spotted probably contributed to his inaccuracy.

Bongino also broke some news that the security team had identified the would be shooter as a potential threat shortly after he entered the perimeter but they lost track of him in a building until he reappeared on the roof.  Why was SS not immediately sent to cover Trump and get him off stage when they suspected a threat was inside the perimeter?

I just need to know how the gun got in, why the roof wasn't guarded when SS pre-labeled it as a threat, who came up with the protection plan of action for that day and who coordinated the protection on that day.  Whoever it is that is responsible for the last two questions needs to be asked to resign and be thoroughly investigated.

It means that you equate tweets with words with the same impact as guns and bullets.

No I didn't.
We agree that mean words, disunity, can contribute to causing an assassination attempt.
