They're on a court about the size of a basketball court with 7 or 8 players on each team and a netted goal on each end with a goalie. They play with a small ball about the size of a dodgeball which must be dribbled for so many steps they take. The objective is to throw the ball into the opposing team's net. I've never seen it before and don't know what it's called because the station info was saying Men's Soccer.

Anyone know what this game is? I'm just curious. It was pretty lame. I only watched for a couple of minutes.

It's Water Polo for people that can't swim.

Quite honestly, I typically don't read through a thread of responses prior to posting.  Also, being hydrophobic is not the same as not being able to swim.

On a sidenote, just give 2 bronze medals in this screwed up case of gymnastics.

On a sidenote2, RayGun is the Queen of Breakdancing !!!

Romania Girl 1 - won the event by points.

USA Girl protested due to her level of difficulty was miscalculated so they awarded her an extra .010 point which placed her ahead of Romania Girl 1

USA Girl wins bronze but it's later determined by the committee that her protest was not within 1 minute of her score being released so they now say given the bronze to Romania Girl 1 -- USA states their protest was submitted within 47 seconds to they are keeping the medal

Now enter Romania Girl 2 --- apparently the judges deducted a point (or whatever) for her stepping out of bounds which later replay shows she stayed in bounds.  Romania Girl 2 states she now should have won the bronze because the judges deducted points that were incorrect.

** Final -- apparently the Olympic committee just stated the Romanians can issue bronze to their girls and USA can keep hers as well.  Given the screw up, this is probably the best decision.

Cool by me. I watch gymnastics, like ice skating, once every four years. I have never been wild about the "Judging" process in any of these events. The scores come out so fast I can't help but think pre-judging is a thing. I am surprised errors like we saw don't happen more.

Based on the real time events, Romania won outright. 2 medals awarded is ridiculous. This sport needs to be judged using slo mo replay, not in real time.

While that is true based on the events 2 errors occurred and there are rules covering this issue. The coaches are required to submit a protest within 1 minute. The American coach did as time stamped video proof showed that it was within 47 seconds. The Romanian coaches did not protest at all. I was watching and the announcers mentioned this at the time wondering why the Romanian coaches did not protest.  Since the Romanian coaches did not do their job and the American coaches did the results were proper. The Romanian didn't win. Your heart can bleed for the Romanian, but it doesn't change the facts.
