Good idea. CYA. Lol

Literally lololol

We usually hit the spa at night, much nicer out since the sun's gone down. Moon is usually out and I have a couple of bats that fly around us chasing and eating mosquitoes, dragonflys and whatever. Pretty cool though, named them Drac and Fang lolol

We usually just lay back and star gaze!!

Beautiful, actually!!

How far Boeing has fallen. Now they may have to be bailed out by SpaceX to bring the stranded astronauts back to Earth because Starliner is such a piece of junk.

Boeing: "Hey, didn't that one guy just freefall back to Earth? Think we can try that?"

Boeing has been a slow moving train wreck since acquiring McDonnell Douglas.

Among other things. When they moved their headquarters away from the engineers, it started to slowly slide and then picked up speed. They've completely lost their corporate and aeronautically historic identity.

We're back to the nasty humid sauna-like weather but without the extreme heat. Still miserable as hell. I'm so ready for fall weather.

Boeing’s woes continue.

Wow. This is the first day in months we haven't had a special weather statement or hazardous weather statement in months. And the dew point is not in the mid 70s, it's at 67°.

No excessive heat, no lack of rain, no burn bans, no tropical system to bring flash floods. I don't know what to do with myself.  Laughing

It's been so miserable for so long and outdoor chores have been put on hold because I don't tolerate heat like I could prior to heat stroke in 2011. We have yard debris and fallen limbs and branches from Debby to gather up to burn and we haven't had the weather conditions to do so.

I actually really enjoy doing yard work and sometimes it's my therapy if I'm having a bad day. Plus, burning a pile of yard debris is so satisfying. Lol.

true to all that about yard cleanup. Can't say the same about the weather here, it was in the mid-90's on the ride home yesterday and will be the same today. Hard to stay hydrated in that heat.

What I’m dealing with right now.  Yuk.

Hey, it’s going to cool off next Friday.

It hasn't been normal central North Carolina weather with the almost daily excessive heat warnings starting in June. We've had a dry summer or two since 2011. We've had excessive heat warnings but maybe for 7-10 days then it backed off for 3 weeks or so with another round of high heat for a week or so then it was done for the season. Not this year. It's been ongoing.

Today was sunny with a high of 86° and a "real feel" of 93. With the humidity at 47% and dew point at 63° today felt like heaven compared to what we've had since June. Tomorrow is supposed to be the same. Yay!!

This is the most miserable summer we've had since I moved here in 2011.

I played 9 holes yesterday and was 1 over until the 7th, then the heat started working on me.

That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

I played exactly three shots today.  On shot three something popped in my shoulder, and that was the end of my round.

Well I guess I did have four shots including the one that I had in the shoulder at the orthopedist.

Follow up next Wednesday.

Ouch.

Moderate humidity and temperatures in the middle of August? What sorcery is this?

And for a Simple Things in Life moment:

I changed out the Otterbox on my phone to a newer design. What a difference. A little beefier and much more grippy. The phone is more securely attached inside the case as well. I give it 5 out of 5 stars. Would buy again.

It is amazing how something different can make things so much better.

I ended up at Verizon yesterday because my phone of probably  6-7 years old finally died on me. I hate having to get used to new tech stuff because so much changes in a short period of time anymore. I got the same make and similar model and that makes the transition much easier.

That being said, the difference in how this phone functions and the update in how apps function is amazing. It's still a bit confusing, likely due to what I just mentioned, but I'm not sad about getting a new phone this time around.

New(er) technology is fun, but it can be frustrating at times. Especially with a device we depend so heavily upon. When I switched from Android to Apple, the customer service rep told me on the phone that she'd made the switch herself a few months prior and warned I would be tempted to throw the phone against the wall for the first couple of weeks because the operating systems were so different. She was right. I cussed at that poor little phone more than it deserved.

I am one that will wear clothes, especially my "work around the house" clothes until they are absolutely worn out.  Sadly today I had to retire one of my favorite set of jeans.  I cut them off just above all of the holes and made them into a pair of "jorts" and cut up the rest of the legs for shop rags.  The "jorts" are just fine to wear around here while doing stuff, but I wouldn't go out in public with them.  I can probably get a few more weeks out of them.
