Welcome Brian Thomas Jr. Jags new star receiver

The good thing is we have the right type of receivers around him for him to flourish. We have those veteran route runners who he can learn from. Also, there is talent around him, which should open up things for him. People cannot just double team him.

We’ll just have to disagree then.  I think the only reason the safety was that close was because the ball was so short.

Even if Jones throws that ball it's 10 yards further downfield and BTJ catches it in the clear. He beat the corner and the safety wasn't close if the ball is thrown deep and to the outside.

I would agree with you guys if TL was the one throwing the pass. My fear is CJ's ball would come down on a parachute 10 yards further down the field. As it was the ball was low and inside.

Another strong practice for BTJ today.

Confidence is booming. Hopefully he toasts Ramsey week 1!

Yes, well...  4.33.

He doesn't look like he's running that fast, but DBs can't seem to keep up with him.

He was getting open in the preseason opener in the same fashion. He's everything as advertised so far. He'll get better. It's just a matter as to whether or not this offensive line will get better so the plays can develop and enable Lawrence to find him.

That's what I've seen in his college highlights.  He'll be running, and not look like he's running particularly fast, but the DB who is trailing him is steadily losing ground.

That and he can catch the ball with arms fully outstretched with his larger than average (by NFL receiver standards) hands.  The go routes should be interesting and entertaining this season. It's the other stuff receivers do that I'm interested to see more of from him.

IF when the games become real he can maintain this we may have the best top to bottom receiver corp in years. Now we just have to pray the line can give TL time.

Gave him 10 yards of cushion and still had his ankles broken. He had a nice little route there. I like that. It's a good way to set up another play where he actually goes deep.

It is preseason, teams rarely show too much.  Our ones were playing just to get timing down, after all they were playing against the Falcon 2's.  Unfortunately, this makes gauging a bit less accurate.

I didn't post the video for the fantasy line or whatever he said. I posted it so people could see his routes and how easy he gets open.

Plus he only had like 13 plays with Lawrence this preseason so it's a very small sample size there.

Yea I get it. Definitely a great start for the kid.  I am still disappointed Atlanta did not play their starters. It would have given us a better yard stick.

His speed is there. The play action game should be exciting this season between his ability to get deep and Kirk's ability to work underneath.

It might take until October until we see it all click though. Between Miami, Cleveland and Buffalo I don't expect this offense to come out red hot.
