Athletically? No.

But Lloyd NEEDS to improve his decision-making and positioning because he got us killed last year numerous times.

Actually, Muma is a better athlete than Lloyd.  You are thinking about 2022.  Last year Lloyd was much improved

Beathard will show why he's a backup in the second half.   Doubt he gets much of a chance to do much with the reserve OL in the game.

Easy Debbie Downer. Wait a minute or two.

He will be during the regular season as well. He's absolutely transformed himself.

The Saints game is sticking out to me but Lloyd was better in pass coverage out of any of our LB's I think.

CJ has had a long time to show us what kind of arm he has.

And its akin to wet linguini.

And I'm not basing it on this game.    I've felt this way since the 22 season.

Muma ain't better than Lloyd.

Overall?   Hell yes he is.

This ain't the Ray Lewis NFL anymore where being able to read and react to RUN is the primary option of the middle linebacker.  Devon is a better pass rusher than Muma. Sure. I'll give ya that. But bulking up to shed blocks from Olinemen isn't what I want my middle linebacker to do. I want him to instinctively know how to beat a blocker to a spot so he doesn't have to shed him..

Muma is mentally faster at read and react than Devon.  Period.

If Devon wasn't drafted higher than Muma he wouldn't be getting the love he does.   Heck, Ventrell is a better read and react linebacker than Lloyd.

Obviously it's just my opinion...

Brandon Scherff is no longer that dude.   Next season I want him gone.

I like that Bigsby falls forward. That was always MJD's asset.

Why the hate on Lloyd? He was one of our most improved players last year and is definitely better than Muma.

Running game has SOME traction. It isn't pretty or great, but every first down is a W.

He was much better last year and by all reports he has had a very good camp.  I liked Muma coming out and he is one of the most athletic LBs in the league.  He had a 9.79 ras and if him and Lloyd can live up to their potential we will have one of the best LB groups in the league. Miller is very good as well

Bigsby should be a big help this season. Can't afford to keep give Etienne all those snaps or he'll wear out after 3-4 seasons. So far, Tank is showing good power and more confidence. His pass protection still needs work, however.

Mac Jones hasn't looked great but he hasn't been bad. His 2 bad throws were to Cooks, 1 PI and the other was a high throw that I think Cooks may have cut the route a little short but will need to see another replay.

I think team will be much better with him as the backup if needed.

Our backup O-line is showing us what our starting O-line couldn't display last year with run blocking.

I hope our primary unit can open up gaps and push back defensive lines for ETN more times that not this upcoming season
