And that's how it would be implemented.  The only way it ever could be.  Suppress and ignore undesired speech.
There are Catholics, Protestants, Jews, Latinos, Whites, Asians, and atheists who all subscribe to versions of this.  They each think they get to be the ones in charge of implementing it.”

Here is your FULL quote.  There is only one side that wants to sanitize history.  There is only one side that suppresses free speech.

Which side is banning books and preventing high schools from teaching African American history?

Which side just passed a law saying that employers can not lead discussions of race and racism during worker training sessions?

Thanks for confirming the left wants to sanitize history.

Did I do that right?

No, because I am directly contesting your point.
You said "There is only one side that suppresses free speech" and you clearly mean the one side is the left.  I am pointing out that the right does it as well. The answer to both questions I asked is "Ron DeSantis". Is he on the left or the right?

The "stop woke" act is held up in the federal court system.  It violates the US constitution.  It intends to prohibit employers from discussing race with their employees.

Just so we are clear, you are planting your flag on the hill of DEI?

Not at all.
I am saying that people who believe in DEI have the right to talk to their employees about it.  It's not a religion.
I'm also saying that people who believe in a single, unified American culture also have a right to talk to their employees about it.

Oh Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike!   DEI is a religion to those people.  DEI was developed not to unify but to divide.  One of your intellectual superiority should be able to figure that out, but alas….oh well to your second point.

I cannot speak for every conservative but I can speak for myself and those in my circle.  I/we don’t care about your race, your color, your religion or your sexual orientation.  We do care about your moral fiber and your character.  It is incredibly interesting that those who champion diversity are unable to get past race, color, religion and sexual orientation.

One more point.  I am an Irish/Native American.  I am considered white.  I am Catholic and I am a straight male.  Can you tell me what rights I have that anyone not belonging to my categories does not have?

There are some people who put DEI in the place in their heart where religion normally goes.  There are more who believe in DEI and teach it but are less fervent. There are lots of people who think of Trump as a religious figure.  Before that, a lot of people had a religious level of trust in Obama.

But a lot of US law stops working if we just throw up our hands and say we can't tell the difference between politics and religion anymore.  US law says that a for profit employer can not discriminate against your religious beliefs, but they can discriminate against your political beliefs. It's a nice middle ground we've carved out.  But it has pits on both sides.  If we decide we can't tell the difference between religion and politics, then we go one of two ways.  We either say employers can't discriminate for any of it, and it becomes harder to manage employees with employees always discussing hot button issues, or we say employers can discriminate for all of it, and we become a place where some companies are known for only hiring right wing people and other companies are known for only hiring left wing people some companies known for hiring only Christians, other companies known for only hiring non-christians, etc.

I understand you taking offense to some of the ideas of DEI because it seems to call you less valuable as a white or Catholic person, but, I'm not advocating for DEI and I don't think that way. All I'm saying is people who do think that way are allowed to talk about it.

Said this weeks ago...

Stop pandering towards the demographic that is the most unproven and start going after what really drives this economy, along with the Independents still on the fence that really may not want to vote this election.

Trump needs to run on no new wars and immigration not the prices of bacon and gas.

Are those important? Yes. But a new war in the Middle East will drive the cost of gas way up, believe it and at the rate of 3rd world invaders were taking in we will have no country.

White's although our the majority, it dwindles every year but they won him 2016 yet his top advisors are literally on video and in articles denouncing and disavowing us.

"We will replace Karen's with Enrique's and Jamal's".

"The white vote isn't as important as the minority vote now".

"A large tent to garner new voters".

[BLEEP] you and [BLEEP] that.
