Is he better than CJ? Yea probably, but that isn't saying much. Mac is average at best.

I don't care how dumb New England is.  I know what I see.  Mac Jones will be starting somewhere next year.

So do I.

Remember he's playing against guys that wont have a job playing football in the NFL in a couple days.

He's also not playing with our starters.  He's playing with our back ups.

And hopefully we never see him playing with our starters, because if that's the case we're [BLEEP].

Okay.  Whatever.

This is just backups chewing time at this point. And the Falcons not doing anything on either side of the ball to stop it.

Mac's ball placement is very good, which is something you can observe and analyze regardless of who is out there making the catch.

He's still a tad bit inconsistent but the majority of his dropbacks and throws are something I appreciate as a backup QB capable of making EVERY pass on the field.

If Trammel isn't on the 53, and Tim Jones and Elijah Cook on the practice squad, I'm gonna be pissed. He's done everything better than both of them, except tackle on special teams.

I'm not one that believes you keep an average special teams player or a tall receiver over a better overall receiver that can consistently get open and catches everything thrown to him. Teach him how to tackle if there is an issue with "value".

Brandon Scherff is no longer that dude.   Next season I want him gone.

I don't know how anyone can say. Mac Jones is not a good quarterback.  that's absurd.

Teams don't simply trade away good young quarterbacks for 6th round picks. Sorry, but that just doesn't happen.

Is he better than CJ? Yea probably, but that isn't saying much. Mac is average at best.

It's fair to call him "average" but I just can't agree that his celing is "average at best". He made the playoffs his rookie year the one time he had an actual OC. NE was so devoid of talent and his development was so mangled I don't think he's even scratched the surface of his total abilities. I'd say his celing is Andy Dalton (which is to say above average and capable of winning some games but has some shortcomings and definitely isn't in that "elite" tier) and his floor is solid backup/journeyman.
Championship Formula:

1) Draft Trevor Lawrence!
2) Play good physical Defense!
3) Keep 91% of the roster healthy!
4) ???
5) Blank #2
6) CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

Yes but the sad part of that is, Baalke has never really hit on a RB he drafted.

It's up in the air whether ETN was Urban's pick, or Baalke's pick.

As long he's never given credit for the ones that hit this will continue to be true.

No it’s not. It’s legit probably the dumbest of plays.

Just another day in the office for our boy Cam Little.

He's gonna be feeding a bunch of hungry people here in Duval with the FG's for Firehouse deal this season.

Mid round rbs becoming starters is not rare.  It is more rare at other positions, especially since OL make such a difference.  Plus 3-5 round players are cheap and you can use and burn through.

You can disagree but I'd take a rb in 3-5 most every year.   Especially if I have an extra pick in there.

If it's a late round pick i'd say positions like: RB, Safety, Guard and small school WR are worth fliers since the athletic traits it takes to succeed at those positions in the NFL aren't as rare as others like: QB, DE, OT etc.

His rookie year with the Pats was carried by a top 5 rushing attack and a top 5 Defense. That team literally won a game (against the Bills and not some scrub team) with Mac completing a grand total of 2 Passes throughout the entire game lol. One of which was in the final minutes.

It depends, you don't draft RBs just to draft them.  But if you get lucky and the top guy on your board is a RB when it's your pick you get him.
