Wouldn't be a bad idea. Wouldn't have minded Frank Reich here when Carolina let him go.

That's just Doug being Doug and salty as [BLEEP] after a loss. I didn't really get a sense of change from him there, nor any pressure. I just think that's his usual tone after any loss.

With that said, every game should feel like it's a "must win" game until you're guaranteed a seed in the play-off tournament. Never liked the idea of "lay up" games or "throw away" games. But, for me, every game is a must win game until we're around week 14 - 17 and you're realistically looking ahead at either already in the play-off's, or, maybe there's a chance you can jump up a seed or two, etc.

Sometimes teams want to rest their starters. Sometimes they don't.

Agree completely.  Want to avoid a must win game later in the season? Then win early.

Cleveland has been competitive in a tough AFC North. Stefanski is a solid coach. Just sandbagged by poor QB play and circumstances along with no Nick Chubb at RB due to injuries.

They're a middling team just like our team. This game can go either way but I am going to favor our team at home in this one after a tough road loss.

Maybe Stefanski will get canned and Pederson can hire him to coach the offense.
Stefanski isn't getting canned but you know who will? Dabol.

And I would hire him in a heart beat.

Well, if it's any coach that can pull it off for a 7th time? It's Doug mother [BLEEP] Pederson baby! LFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dude.... YES. Would love to see him losing his [BLEEP] and going off on the offense. He would have murdered Kirk and Engram for those drops. He would have drop kicked Etienne after that fumble.

It would be nice if the Offense decided to unleash the $55 million QB and let him do things he did in the 1st half with BTJ and the rest of the crew.

Our D is gonna eat. Neilson looks like he knows how to run a D.

If Nielsen can hold Miami to 20? I expect him to hold Cleveland to 10. Agreed on the offense. Time to take the kid gloves off with Trevor. When the lead is diminishing? I want the ball is in hands. I want to see what he can do.

Absolutely, especially since we have one of the best playcallers in the league.

Good chance of winning this game. One thing they need to solve is that dig/post pattern we were burned on twice last week. I expect we will see that and a few variations.

Watch Watson get sat due to play/new legal issues and us fare worse vs the backup again...

The defense did enough to win. Holding that high powered Miami offense to 7 points until the ETN fumble. Holding a team to 20 points in today's NFL should be an automatic win.

The offense has to step up.

I'm trying to stay optimistic but this collapse really bugs me. I know the Fins are a really good football team but we were handling them early and never seemed to recover from the fumble. Got to find a way to maintain poise in those situations. But we've been saying that for years so I dunno if it's going to happen.

Calling now, this is the game we turn things around and start the run at a title. Doug isn't [BLEEP] and he knows what needs to be tweaked. AFC South take over starts Sunday

I'm fairly confident here as well.  I know the Browns will also be looking to bounce back, but Deshaun kinda is what he is at this point.  Trevor, by any thoughtful analysis, had a good game against the phins as did all 3 phases for the Jaguars.  In this case, as can happen in the league, it's the timing of impactful plays against us and the lack of response to them.  I said in another post that I felt that we were visibly the better team for almost 3 quarters.  What happened can be fixed and if we're consistently showing we're the better team, what happened Sunday isn't likely to happen all that often.  Need to learn as a squad how to respond better to adversity which will come at some point in almost every game.

Last year Cam was out when we played Cleveland. Cam vs Myles will be the matchup. Cam usually plays good against players like Myles Garrett, the smaller and quicker ends are the ones Cam struggles with at times. It's rare Cam gets overpowered by any edge player so this matchup will be interesting.

Harrison has to have a bounce back game. The combo of Smith a d Garrett is a top 3 to 5 end duo. That will be the key matchup in this game.

Darby also needs to play better and Darby vs Cooper will be the next key matchup imo.

The Browns have one of the best trio's of corners in the league with Ward, Newsome, and Emerson so Trevor just needs to be smart and find the open WR.

The missmatch on offense I think is Engram, hopefully we have a good game plan in this game to get the TEs involved along with Etienne out of the back field

Agreed. [BLEEP] or get off the pot already.

Or that'll be the one game that allows Miami home field advantage while we get the two seed.

Everything is on the table right now.

We started 2-6 in 2022 on our way to the playoffs.

We started 8-3 in 2023 on our way to not the playoffs.

Miami homefield advantage doesn't mean much after November. Their whole basis of an advantage is the heat and sun
