That play really hurt us. Etienne slipped in end zone next play and Anton blown up play after that.

Plus the missed FG and safety. That last drive could have been a FG to win.

We were so close being mediocre.  Now we suck.

Now all we have is to become great.

Everyone now thinks we are trash.  Maybe this is Doug's plan.  Play trash offense and lose 2 games so that we can then take the rest of the league by surprise!!!  He's a SB HC.  Of course he knows what he's doing.

There is no way the plan was to lose games.   This isn't mind games,  or a plan.  The plan has to be to win the week and go 1-0 and celebrate that on victory Monday,  but we haven't had one yet.  Silly season has begun,  and the hope was the Jaguars turned a corner and would win games they should win,  not lose games that they shouldn't.  They can never be favored to do anything.

I'm not sure why it was illegal. Is it because #2 was roughly behind center when the snap came, or because he didn't stop before the snap? Or was it because they thought he was running towards the line?

Because D'Earnest Johnson didn't remain set for one full second. He checked up his movement on the left side but did not remain stationary long enough before moving back to the right side. It was close, but not quite long enough.

Because D'Earnest Johnson didn't remain set for one full second. He checked up his movement on the left side but did not remain stationary long enough before moving back to the right side. It was close, but not quite long enough.

The zebras have been calling them in abundance this year. I saw a segment on GMF where they talked about it. So far this season, they've called about a third more than the average of previous seasons.

So that little stutter step right at the beginning of the clip is the problem? If he had been motionless for a second there on the left side, he would then be allowed to be running laterally behind the QB when the snap comes?

Yep. The player in motion has to 'establish position'. That is quantified as remaining motionless for one second.
