Why are y'all getting so heated about this.
There is no single reason the offense has sucked and lost both games so far. This team has issues including needed better offensive line play/execution, better schematics, better personnel at certain spots, better play sequencing, fewer penalties, better QB pocket presence, better QB accuracy/WR communication, etc. And yes given how close the games have been despite all the mistakes, fixing even just one of those things would have probably change the results in at least one of the games. Basically, you can both be correct. The question now is what the easiest thing to fix that will get the most bang for the buck. You could try a different set of 5 guys (pretty sure DP/PT won't do that). You could try to add more schematic help to the protection with more TE's and chip help. You could have better play sequencing so def don't know exactly what is coming. But some of the stuff are not easy fixes.

You are what your record says you are at the end of the day. LOL, it's an easy excuse that relies on no much thought. I would like to remind everyone of the team we are playing: The Bills. So that team was in a funk last year. Fans were blaming the players. The QB was throwing too many picks. The O-Line wasn't protecting the QB enough and they couldn't run block. Similar stuff to what we hear in this very forum. Well, guess what they did? They fired Ken Dorsey. Who's Ken Dorsey? He's was the OC at the time of the Bills slump last year!!! They fired him, promoted Joe Brady to OC. Since they replaced their OC they've gone 7-2 last season and are off to a 2-0 start this year. Interesting what can happen when you decided to make a change when ineptitude bad coaching isn't tolerated.

The bills weren't running the the HC's offense. Firing the OC in Jax doesn't change the offense. You'd have to fire Doug to do that.

This could be an option if Doug had been clear this is "Press Taylor's offense" and PT is calling plays. Instead Doug has obfuscated all that with all his comments and press conferences. So the only way you could accomplish that level change would be the fire both. Or i guess you could do what Philly did and have the FO fire the coordinators but keep the HC in place as pretty face, but I don't think that would work here because more fans and media want Baalke fired than anyone on the Jags. Only a few guys like Howie Roseman has built up the trust to try something like that. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! But it's obvious that things can still work out if Doug let Press go and find another OC to groom while he takes over the offense. I recall Dallas also did something like this. There's no reason we have to fire Doug, unless he want's to keep on the same course that in resulting in disaster.
Atta boy, see? Don't you feel better up there on your box?

I think everyone here agrees with those sentiments. The question at hand though is this season. Would firing Doug say before the BYE week salvage the season at all or not? I tend to lean towards firing Doug Pederson and Press Taylor wouldn't change much this year, as I doubt a makeshift Mike McCoy offense that is implemented mid season fixes much especially since those middling SDC offenses were with a much better QB in Phillip Rivers compared to current Trevor Lawrence.
