What I got from the article is that she's not the least bit Jewish, despite having a distant Jewish ancestor.  She's faking it for political reasons.

Not arguing that but that's every secular jew in the country. The amount that actually practice versus the amount that just claim it as a race is very low vs high.

Judaism is an ethnicity as well as a religion.  And it's intertwined, because the prominent interpretation today is it comes down through your mother's line.  Loomer's only Jewish ancestors are on her father's side. 
If you can't trace your mother's line as Jewish, you're supposed to go through a conversion ceremony with the temple or synagogue you're trying to join. Loomer did not do this.

I doubt she actually cooks collards, but people do wash their clothes in bathtubs.  And collards are boiled for a long time after they are washed.  
Someone rich like Kamala probably has her bathtub cleaned regularly by people she does not know. Hers likely looks shinier and cleaner than yours or mine.
Question: if your bathtub is too dirty for food to be washed in it, how is it also clean enough to put your naked body in?  I get the yuck factor, I feel it too, but rationally I can't justify it.
Also Jamaican restaurants in the US serve collards. I've had them there. My Jamaican coworkers told me they're similar to a Jamaican dish called Caliloo but stores in the US don't have the type of greens they usually make Caliloo with, so they use collards instead.
