Trevor Lawrence is the first QB to throw an interception to someone who has died.

Yes sir. One game at a time and no gimmes in pro football.

The #1 goal is to win the division. Must-win game against a hated rival.

Have to at least be competitive. Another blowout loss and heads will start rolling.

He'll be the first QB to resurrect his team from the cold dead depths of 0 - 3 and lead them to the Promised Land with a victory.

You take a mortal man.
And put him in control.
Watch him become a God.
Watch people's head's a-roll.

A roll.
A roll.

Would be perfect. A lot of us would say "Never a doubt! Never a doubt!". I would print out the entire Trevor Lawrence thread.

Have it compiled into a massive book and bound in a black leather case with gold and teal lettering on it with our team's logo.

It would rest on my coffee table in my living room for all the world to see. I would read pages out of it to my son, and his children someday. Can't wait for that day to come.

I have all the doubt in the world right now that I even live to see this team accomplish something meaningful.. But I get it..

Doug knows this Ryan guy is messing everything up with his man to man junk defense. We don’t have the horses to run man across the board.

Good chance he gets fired before mid-season.

Not a good look for Doug.

Nielsen has had massive success everywhere he’s been. Now all of a sudden he sucks when he’s here?

Not buying it.

You can't run man like he wants to do with 3 of our top 4 corners out.  When Campbell comes back I think our D will be much better.  Our top 2 slot corners as well as our number 1 corner

Meh. He worked his way up the ranks as a defensive line coach. He was Dennis Allen's assistant head coach in 2021 with the Saints and still coached the defensive line.

He was then bumped up in 2022 to Co-Defensive coordinator with Dennis Allen and then officially became a Defensive Coordinator on his own for the first time just last year alone in 2023 for the Falcons.

So, he's still very vanilla when it comes to NFL coaching as a DC. Much like the Caldwell hire. I don't know. This might be another head scratcher from Doug Pederson.

Looks like Doug's defensive knowledge is booty overall and he was carried by a good DC in Jim Schwartz with his time spent with the Eagles.

This is worth mentioning though. He HAS Kris Richard as his secondary coach. Kris at least had some good success in Seattle as their DC for a good three, four year stretch. That might need to be a switch to take into consideration if Nielsen doesn't change his ways moving forward.

The tinhorns are going to do the same exact thing Miami did and Buffalo did to this secondary. Quick, in and out stuff with the RB's involved in the passing game with isolation routes on our LB core. He has to mix up his coverages better and he has to mix up his blitz schemes better or we're cooked.

I don't know about this Nielsen hate. I keep using my roulette wheel and his name fails to come up. Switched to my safety cage with ping pong balls that have names on them still no dice. Can't help you on this.

LOL. I appreciate this. If anything though, it's just me being a reverse cynic and smart [BLEEP] in hopes of putting something good out into the universe that it will listen and return the favor.

I know deep down it's highly unlikely. Thanks for pouring piss and vinegar into my bowl of hopes though.
