Neilsens scheme doesn’t work without pressure.

Highly recommend listening to Nielsen's interview this week

Speaks really well and makes some good points regarding the concerns

Josh Allen still top 5 hes just not getting the sacks like last year. We need to start getting home to the QB more

We still don't have push in the middle, but admittedly the QBs they've played have traditionally been some of the tougher to sack. I'd love a 5 or 6 sack game from the defense this week.

Agreed, Armstead was supposed to be that guy.  Hes been a huge dissapointment 3 weeks in.  They need to continue to give Smith reps as I think he will get better as the season goes on.

Hamilton and Lacy haven't done enough to be in there IMO, I agree that Smith ought to be getting more snaps at this point. Like with the O-linemen the vets just aren't impressing enough to stop us from moving on to the young guys. It couldn't be much worse and the experience will help.

PFF is getting more and more ridiculous. Need to stop referencing them as a legit source. JHA is #39 in pressures this season. That is the stat. When we use our eyeballs, he is non impactful through 3 games. Rough start for him, doesn't look like the weight gain is paying off.

Travon Walker with 4 pressures tied at #56th in the league. Aidan Hutchinson leads the league with 18 pressures

It should piss people off that we're still [BLEEP] and complaining about the same primary issues that have set this team back now for the third straight year in a row.

No push inside on defense.
Not enough time or push from this offense.

Armstead has been playing DE, for whatever reason.

For the most part but he has played inside a few times, dont know the exact number.  Last week there was one play where Nielsen had 4 DT's on a 4 man front.  Of course they were all way to slow and Allen just took off and ran for a 1st.

Yeah, I don't know what's going on with that. We all thought Nielsen had the personnel he wanted, he wanted to be here as well. Armstead has been playing very poorly out of what we thought would be his position, but I really think Nielsen's man to man scheme only works if the front 4 get there, and they just haven't.  We need JHA/Walker to game wreck and Armstead/Hamilton/Smith to push the middle.

Travon and Josh have been playing well. They just need to stop rotating these guys all over the line and keep them in their correct spots. DaVon has been disappointing. Even though I'm still not a fan of this pick, might as well let Maason get his reps in and see if he can improve his game with more reps per game.

Despite the rotations being made they're not getting push from inside still. Which is exactly why Josh and Travon can't get home like they should be. Stroud's also mobile and can escape the pocket. Just like Tua, DeShaun and Josh from the last three weeks from the QB position.

Going to be a long day for this defense if they can't collapse the pocket from inside and enable the edge rushers to pinch and seal the deal this Sunday. Especially with a banged up secondary and linebacking core. Nielsen better call the defense of his lifetime on Sunday after that dog [BLEEP] performance this past Monday.

Am I the only one that thought Savage was they straw that stirred the secondary against Miami. I think missing Savage has had a real effect on our secondary.

Savage played well vs the phins. Seven targets - Gave up 3 catches for only 11 yards on 49 snaps played.

Campbell is an even bigger loss though. Two targets - Zero catches for zero yards in 53 snaps played that game.

Savage is a safety....  He was enforcing in the secondary against Miami, he was flying all over the place.  I like him.  I hope he get's 100% soon.  He's 27.  It's a shame we can't figure out how to develop players like him.

Wow

Darnell Savage played most of his snaps at nickel, dude.
He also got burned like hell by Tyreek in the phins second drive but Tua overthrew him on what would have been a certain TD.

The safeties were Johnson and Cisco.
Might help if you had a clue what you were watching.
