*** Official Game Day Thread - clots @ Jags ***

#1

Welcome to Week 5 of our eternal torment or the daybreak of our eternal optimism.

It's a soggy day in J-ville as we prepare for the arrival of another hurricane later this week. At the Bank the hometown heroes are decked out in their Sunday Finest as the Organization prepared to enshrine the legendary Tom Coughlin in the Ring of Honor. On the field both team are pretty beat up and we expect to see Flacco under center for the clots today. Josh Hines-Allen is on the report with his post-concussion symptoms, we should hear in a few hours if he'll play.

This game might be the last chance for the Jags to salvage the 2024 season, it could also be a chance to get on a bit of a roll as the team heads out to London next week to play the bears and pats overseas.

Discussion, commentary, arguing, whining, and oh so much snark to follow!

We're gonna lose.

I have to admit, it's tough building up the motivation to go to this game knowing we'll have to watch a crappy, injury riddled team while sitting in the rain.

Indy is a better team with Flacco than Richardson.

I’m not optimistic, but getting Savage and Lloyd back is helpful
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS

This is usually the attitude but today I'm feeling good.  It is throwback week and the Colts haven't won in Jacksonville in like 10 years believe it or not.  We have to be up for this one.  I expect us to make plays on both sides of the ball.  I think we get a turnover on defense. Houston is a better team than the Colts and we should have won there.

Probably.  The Colts won't ever be a Super Bowl threat with Richardson,  his playstyle doesn't work in the NFL because it lacks longevity.  He will forever be on and off the injury report and never reach his potential.  Not that he's some juggernaut anyway.

I have a good feeling about today.  Prayers for your neck of the woods I hope you get some relief and aid. Jaguars are pouring it on today. If we lose, I'm getting off the train for the season to preserve what sanity I have left.

Right we definitely look like winners,  playing like losers.

With the heavy rain today it seems like this would be a good game to give Bigsby a lot of carries today

I'm ready to be hurt again. I'm hoping this is the game we finally see everything working together. Just win, baby

Yep, just changed my pick to the Jags.  I think this will be a great chance for the Jags running game to take over the game, with Richardson and Taylor out I'm giving the Jags the edge.

PS. Take the field goals and punt on 4th down, Pederson.

I just want a win. I don't care how ugly it looks. If we only get defensive TDs so be it. Honestly the desperation is setting in if you can't tell. Lol.
