Sadly Trevor is broken.  Last year’s offensive line did him in.  He has not shown an ounce of the confidence nor the swagger that got this team to 8-3 last year since his injury.  Can he be salvaged?  Maybe but Pederson nor Press are the answer.

I am not blaming him at all.  He is a victim of the Duval curse.  In any other city.  On any other team.  He would have lived up to the hype.

I enjoyed watching the Bucs game that just wrapped up. Some guy named Sean Tucker and rookie Bucky Irving ran for like a combined 300 yards and multiple TDs. It was mice to see a team actually be competent at beating up the other team.

Exactly. The Chiefs won a SB with 3 rookies starting in the secondary. Teams get production from late round draft picks and UFA that fit what they do. They aren't superstars or the best player but they do the job they want them to do.

There isn't a great way to identify which players to keep or move on from until you hire new coaches/GM with a new plan and see who fits in those new schemes.

I think the entire team is broken.  Since the ETN fumble in week 1, this team looks like they have completely lost all confidence in themselves and the coaches.  It's shocking to watch this slow motion trainwreck each week knowing that just 2 seasons ago we were in the playoffs winning home game and then to watch it all just completely go sideways.

The team lacks discipline, and that is 99% on the coaches. We had chances yesterday, but yet again forgot to unholster the sidearm before squeezing the trigger. Multiple times. It's disgusting.

It's not a lack of talent. It's not even crap playcalls. It's just dudes having total mental lapses or not being ready for the moment. Injuries suck, and yes, our D is suffering and getting exploited due to key injuries, but damn if every team don't have to deal with the same mess.

There is a disconnect in the play caller and the offense. It appears the players don’t like Press, but Doug wants to be a head coach and not a coordinator.

The players to build around are there but a CB is needed.

The reason the Jaguars keep losing is not because of Press, its because they continue to play poorly.  

Its easy to blame coaching or playcalling, but sometimes players have it and sometimes they just don't. Unfortunatcly, this group, while individually showing a flash now and then, just aren't good enough.

You get a thumbs up from me on this one. This was not a team rebelling against the villainous coach. It wasn't even the coach setting them up to fail. It was unpreparedness on full display. Full stop.

Mental toughness is a talent too, it's the talent Baalke can't seem to find the right measuring tape to examine.

I hate that.  But it seems to be the case in the current NFL.  I hope Tank doesn't fizzle out before his second contract.  It looks like ETN is pretty much done at this point.  Glad to have Tank.  I just wish we don't waste him and the other good players we have to just being a mediocre team that can't make the playoffs.

I'd like to add Walker Little to a player I'm hoping we can build around.  If he continues to play like he did today, we may have a good LT that we can depend on instead of Robinson.  

I think our D has good players to also build around.  Allen, Walker on the D Line.  Miller and Olukun at LB.  Muma is good depth.  The secondary needs some work...  It was good having Campell back.  I didn't watch most of this game, so I'm not sure how well he played today.  But he's still a capable starter.

I've said it a million times but I like the approach many teams take where they draft a RB every other year in the late rounds (4-7) and sign one every year in undrafted free agency - then just keep working them into a sound scheme with a quality OL and they eventually end up with a good stable of backs on the cheap.

In the bigger picture of players to build around, I don't look at this roster that way.

There are a half dozen starters on both sides of the ball that would start on many other teams.

This team needs a new staff that can just add a few pieces and utilize the talent available more efficiently.

It's hard to put your finger on why this group of players makes so many unforced errors - but at the end of the day you're kind of forced to hold the staff accountable for not having them more prepared to NOT shoot themselves in the foot so much.

Time will tell. Tank seems pretty special to me. Derrick Henry and MJd lasted longer than 4-5 years.

By the way, it’s good to have more than one good running back. That one two punch will pay off. Don’t give up on etn. He’s a special one. He will bust some long runs and catches when he gets back.

I want to see the current offensive line with Little at left tackle continue to jell as a unit. If they do, the only glaring need will be a guard to replace Scherff. The skill position players are capable of doing well if the OL is able to show much-needed consistency and toughness.

they have their chance the next 4 games. We will see after they face a few stout defensive lines. The Pats are the worst in the league in defending the run, so may want to withhold getting too excited. 

You guys ever get the feeling this whole team is being run by AI? I mean everything, the drafting, contracts, inactives, play calling ? It seems to hallucinate at times.
