Doesnt look like Taylor will play.  Hes our 2nd round pick though and need him to continue to improve every week.

Even better. He can then shift more into his pass rushing abilities and get after Flacco.

I have it on good authority (such as flgatesjagdude is an authority) that he's some kind of behavioral problem and these missing games are disciplinary in nature. They are in NO WAY related to him not being as good as the guys who are actually playing, that can't POSSIBLY be the issue....like... AT ALL!

Edit: In truth, he's a project Baalke took based on measurements and I had no expectations for him to be any good this year, just like most other guys Baalke picks. That doesn't mean he won't eventually be pretty good, but we shouldn't expect our draft picks to contribute year 1. That's just not the pool Baalke swims in.

I wish there was a way to know how much of the rumor mill has any merit or not on this stuff between Baalke and Pederson. 

I find most of the stories about them playing roster and personnel games with each other to be ridiculous, but I do still wonder.  Maybe they are playing cat and mouse. 
 The stuff with Armstead playing outside and the interior players questionable deployment/usage is a real head scratcher - but it could also be Nielsen just being dumb as a rock.

He's the guy the Jags drafted in the 2nd round.  Unfortunately, due to the transfer portal rules, he has to sit out a year but will be eligible to return for the 2025 season.

Jacobs had 97 yards on runs between the tackles and 2 TD that way.

Baalke has been a major liability since being hired in 2020. His history of terrible draft picks and free agents is undeniable. Yes, he has gotten some moves right but his "misses" are inexcusable. Just look at this past off-season when he chose to keep Cam Robinson, paid big money to Armstead, gets rid of his best cornerback in Williams to be replaced by Darby
and then he drafts Maason Smith in round 2.

There has to be an legitimate reasoning that Masson isn't playing right now and I do believe that He's Truly Not Healthy even though he's been a healthy scratch. When we drafted him there was a rumor in the air about his health to which I recall that he played his final college season less than 100%.
As our second round 2024 NFL Draft Pick you have to protect your investment for future play, nevertheless I'd like to see him on the field of play.

Smith (ankle) has been ruled out of Sunday's Week 9 matchup against Philadelphia, Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union reports.

Smith will sit out a third straight game, as he's dealing with an ankle injury.
