A coach should not get fired based on a few bad calls that lead to a 46 point loss. If anything Nilsson should get promoted to Asst Head Coach with that swarming ball hawking defense.

There’s only a handful of players that are rosterable, there is no pro bowl talent let alone all pro lol. NFL is the “not for long” for a reason, you’re almost guaranteed to have a couple back to back losing seasons with this roster. The owner is an idiot with a 62-144 record. [BLEEP] that, this is a nightmare situation for attractive options. This screams retreads as our only options. ....outside of TLaw and maybe JHA, you don't have crippling contracts that limit building the team in your image. You have a starting QB with franchise traits, an owner that isn't a meddler, prefers patience, and is committed to the local market. You have picks, cap room, and better than cellar talent at spots along the roster. There are MUCH worse jobs out there. There's very few of these openings, pursuit of greener pastures may leave you on the outside looking in. It might depend on how patient you are - I see us as a team with potential to win quickly, with much less overhaul needed than some of the other teams. Jest - you get Woody Johnson, A. A. Ron and NY media NO - You get to field the bad news bears while the team continues to mismanage the cap or finally cuts their losses with a reset. other possibilities CIN: Very similar to us, owner that can't get over the top, stars in certain spots, but history of underperformance. (I'd say they are better than us) CLE: I don't think they move on from Stefanski. You got Haslam for an owner, an angry fanbase, and you got another year of Watson's deal before you can move on. Best thing about the team is Garrett, and talks of trading him surfaced this year - not sure if he wants to stay there long term or not. (unlikely to open, don't think it's any better than here) NYG: If Mara sticks with Schoen, only a fool would take the HC job. If Mara cleans house, your best shot at a full rebuild. You get to clean up the mess left by the last regime, though. LVR: They need a QB, the owner needs a hairstylist, or friends with the stones to tell him a decent haircut isn't that hard to find. They're beginning the rebuild, already canned an OC, not sure if the coach makes it to year 2. DAL: All the expectations in the world and you work under Jerruh's thumb. Potential to win quickly, but if you don't get rings, chances are you'll be gone in 4 years too.

As much as Pederson has been a disaster over the last 1.5 years this will be his first losing season. His biggest flaw is loyalty to his coaches to a fault. Doug would likely resign, but I would give him that option as Philly did the same before canning him. If the DC pick was forced on him I really feel like he was put in a [BLEEP] situation on that side of the ball. I know the man is cooked, just food for thought. Not at all, it’s gotta be a clean sweep and start over from scratch. There’s a theory out there that Khan could retain Baalke and bring in Bilichick to oversee the operation. If that happens, it might honestly be the final straw for me as a longtime fan.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

Considering that Mac CLEARLY is NOT a franchise QB. Just based on the last two games alone, he leaves a ton to be desired as a passer. Does not have a big arm at all. I would take Bill Belichick in a heartbeat. Again, you're getting the following at the minimum in my opinion, as it's been a common theme throughout his career: 1. Culture and accountability. 2. A top quality defense. 3. A sound offensive line. 4. A running game. 5. An identity. 6. A master of the NFL rulebook. If there's something to exploit? He already knows about it and how to approach it. Trevor Lawrence with Bill Belichick, at the very minimum, in 2025? Willing to bet you get what the Chargers currently have right now with Herbert and Harbaugh. An instant turnaround in one year, a scrappy team with a clear identity on offense and a defense that figures out ways to keep games close or at least rallies to make the game contestable. I don't think the team is rallying behind Doug. I don't see drastic change if we have him fire a guy just to bring in a different guy to run his playbook. I think Doug has already checked out. It really sucks, something along the way broke him. It's best for everyone if we all move on.
Belichick is my Dad's age.
No thank you. Enjoy your retirement, Bill.
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.
