My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.
What is Hilarious is hearing the advertisers trying to sell Jaguar tickets.
They have this Video trying to show how tough the Jaguars are and why you should go see them. The 2-9 record and getting blown out 52-6 spits in the face of the adverts. Get some interim ones they may come in, get all fired up and actually win.

I’m in on the tank but if it involves shutting Trevor down then it’s a no go for me. Even though we are awful I would still like to watch the games and it’s very hard to do that with Mac at QB.

Because they have to accept the fact that they forked over a 6th RD pick for him and because he's a former top 20 overall draft pick. Politics I guess. Jones is washed. He's clearly a career back-up at this point now. I'll say this though... It's not like this coaching staff has any clue on how to use the majority of their 53 man roster. They don't find ways to scheme BTJ open. They use minimal to no pre snap motion or movement to help the QB figure out the coverage better. The line is still suspect at times, especially in the ground game and the WR room is pretty much depleted now minus Kirk and an overpaid Davis. At this point, they should just stick to twin and triple TE sets and either run the ball or pass it short with an occasional deep shot attempt to BTJ or Washington. This coaching staff has done nothing to really elevate Lawrence. He's been relatively the same passer since Doug has been here and they've either been on the plus or minus side in the luck department. That's all this team has been since 2022. Lucky Ball football team. Doug's the kind of guy that will win $500,000 in Vegas one night and then proceed to piss it all away and end up in the red and underwater with his house up for grabs due to bad habits. He's done the same to Lawrence and everybody else on this roster. The epitome of boom or bust. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? As much as Pederson has been a disaster over the last 1.5 years this will be his first losing season. His biggest flaw is loyalty to his coaches to a fault. Doug would likely resign, but I would give him that option as Philly did the same before canning him. If the DC pick was forced on him I really feel like he was put in a [BLEEP] situation on that side of the ball. I know the man is cooked, just food for thought. ....which is why we gotta let the regime go now. You don't want quit to infect the team.
I've had a couple drinks... So take this for what it is...
But we need to hire Mike McCarthy immediately after the Jerry fires him. He knows how to win in the regular season. He's dealt with divas in the front office and on the field. He's made Dak Prescott look like an OK QB. I know I've been saying that I don't want any retread HCs. But if we're gonna go with a retread. I want Mike McCarthy. Dude is gonna have a chip on his should, and he's gonna come in guns blazing. Additionally, he'll probably be bringing in all his coaches that are salivating to prove Dallas wrong. This would be the best retread option available. And I'd bet McCarthy would absolutely sign here.

But I think we should give a hard look towards McCarthy. I bet he'd have some good ideas about a GM to bring in as well. The dude is a winning HC, in Dallas, for crying out loud. He could potentially be the best option to get based on our reputation. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

I've gotten over it after Monday when we didn't fire anyone. I had high hopes we could get Ben Johnson, but it's not going to happen. No up and coming flavor of the week HC is going to come here. But McCarthy... I could see him wanting to redeem himself. Maybe I'm wrong. I usually am. But of all the available options that are plausible, I think he'd be the best choice right now. His scheme only succeeds when he has a noticeable talent advantage over other teams. There is no force multiplication of his scheme, and he has no history of reliably developing any position group with low resource investment. Maybe after Urban, when you needed an adult in the room it would have made sense to stablize the franchise. Much like Ron Rivera did for Washington. But the franchise needs to aim for much higher. |
