Doge can't do what you are looking for, that will have to come from other areas. Doge is limited in its power. They can only remove funding for things that Congress has not done their job on and left funding details up to others. They may not be able to even remove the money from the budget and therefore from the agency's account. Doge will be making recommendations but Trump and/or Congress will have to act on the larger things. Sent from my SM-T970 using Tapatalk We show less advertisements to registered users. Apologies for the rather lengthy answer, but I spent my whole career dealing with money, and I've had a couple of cups of coffee, so here goes my usual rant about the national debt. No, we can't get rid of the national debt. What we have to do is make it sustainable. Which means keep it from spiraling out of control to the point where the interest payments are so large that have to print money to pay the bond holders. At which point we have hyperinflation and we are all much much poorer than we are now. The current federal debt is $35 trillion. The annual federal budget is about $7 trillion. Annual interest payments are about $1 trillion. Annual deficits are approaching $2 trillion. Collect $5 trillion, spend $7 trillion, including a trillion just for interest payments. Do that every year, and see what happens. We have to bend the curve. The country won't go bankrupt, because we can print the money to pay the interest on the debt. But that will put so much new money into the system that we will have inflation like Venezuela or Zimbabwe. Or the Weimar Republic, where they took their money to the grocery store in a wheelbarrow and took their food home in their pocket. So in answer to your specific question, yes, I am complaining that it's not enough to say you're going to cut $500 billion from federal expenditures, and then say for example we will cut the CPB. $300,000,000/$2,000,000,000,000 = .00015.
Wow two really knowledgeable and neutral tone posts in a row. Keep it up guys! Let's start a trend!

It started with all the false rumors about FEMA after Hurricane Helene. There were people walking around with guns, telling FEMA employees they didn't want them there. The FEMA employees in question claim were told to avoid hostile people, and they were avoiding hostile people, the bulk of whom just happened to be Trump supporters. That's their side of the story.

I would be kind of irritated if I was told by Fema to get aid I had to remove my Trump flag. Could that be the reason for the aggression? The truth is somewhere in the middle of all this. What is pretty clear someone in FEMA took advantage of an altercation to make a decision.

Political consultants and pollsters informed the Democrats during the race that using that label was working against them because it highlighted the law fare tactics being used against Trump. Now the conviction might be overturned. Americans shouldn’t be afraid of a Trump presidency. They should be horrified about how government was turned against citizens who disagreed with them, including a former president, during the last four years. Thankfully, many are realizing it now

Lawfare was almost the downfall of this country. All they wanted was a mug shot to wave around on the campaign trail.. Thank God we saw right through that garbage.
