Hunter might not either, depends on the coach.  The team that drafts him might want to play him on just one side of the ball.  This ain't college.

wrong, depends on Hunter.

You're right, this ain't college. You don't get your way, you can claim a backache and demand a trade.

Wrong, it depends on the coach.  These conversations will happen before he is drafted. He has stated he wants to play both ways but it will be the coaches call on if they will do it and if so how much.  He won't be playing both sides at the rate he is in college.   The coaches will tell him where they want him to play and when and if he disagrees and goes against what the coaches want they won't draft him.  I don't think that will be a problem with Hunter though.

You see Hunter different than I do. I dont think he is the type to try to go against the coach. I think he will do whatever the coach ask of him and will do whatever is best to help the team. But once again, these decisions will happen before he gets drafted. If a team thinks he will be a problem and tries to go against the coach that team won't draft him.

If we dont get Mason Graham in the first I really want Walter Nolen. Nolen is a 1st round prospect imo and I think he is better than any of the DT prospects that came out last year. Nolen is the only player this year that i have seen give Jake Slaughter problems and Slaughter is the highest rated center in college. Nolan was all over the place last week. Nolan has good size at 6'3" and was a 5 star recruit and the 2nd best recruit overall coming out of high school only behind Travis Hunter so he has always been the top dawg. He is getting to Graham for me as a prospect while i have Graham just a little higher for his size and the way he moves at 320. Nolan might even be might 4th ranked prospect right now behind Hunter, Johnson, and Graham. The combine might seperate a few of these guys but i will watch the last 2 Ole Miss games just to see Nolan, Amos, and Prince

I always like taking players that has been the best player in their class since day one even dating back to High School. Players that have always been the top dog

Right now for me i think my top 4 big board is

1. Hunter
2. Graham
3. Johnson
4. Nolan
5. McMillan/Jeanty

You would rather go DT, CB, or even WR/RB instead of off line?

I'd rather go oline if I felt there was one as good as or rated as good as the players i listed.  I don't see a oline in this draft worth a top 5 pick.  Maybe things change in the playoffs,  bowl games, Senior Bowl, and combine but I just have other players rated higher right now.  I think after our 1st round pick the value will be much better in the other rounds taking olineman. Which lineman do you have as a top 5 pick?

Oh. I'm not great at evaluating college prospects, so I leave it to pros like you.

Just thought it was interesting, but makes sense if there isn't a player of that value. Also fits what pundits have been saying that there aren't any elite tackles or centers in the 2025 draft compared to the 2024 draft.

At the present time, I'd agree that there will not be any offensive linemen worthy of taking between picks 1-7 (where the Jaguars are likely to be picking). Banks, Campbell and Simmons will likely not go until after pick 10. The center/guard position may not have anyone selected until the end of round 2 or round 3. I'd expect the Jaguars to consider taking an OL, and definitely no later than round 3. There should be good value in round 3 with someone like Tate Ratledge- whose mauling style is something our line is in need of. Trey Smith should be a target during free agency which would show the team is really serious about upgrading this position.

Fortunately, there should be a very good player available for the Jags in round 1 who would address a position of need. Hunter, Johnson and Graham would all be great additions.

Former 5 star number 1 ranked LB in country. Doubled as a Running back coming out of HS. Elite tier athlete and football player. I think he's got a chance to be special and one best to come out of Clemson. Started off at SAM/Nickle and even played FS and SS before moving to WILL JR season. Elite closing speed and good change of direction. He'll draw lazy comps to Isaiah Simmons but they are nothing alike outside of being good athletes at LB and moving around positions in the scheme. Simmons was a WR turned Safety turned LB. Carter is a natural in the box. Reminds me of Devin White.

Here's what Dabo thinks - “He is one of the best football players I have had in my 20 years at Clemson. He is just a pure football player. The guy can play anywhere. I think he’s got a chance to be a top-15, top-20 pick (in the 2025 NFL Draft), and he’s not that this year,” Swinney said. “He’s a guy that’s obviously on everybody’s radar and he’s positioned himself, there’s no question, to get drafted. But he’s just one of those kids that wants to finish. He wants to finish. I think had he got a first-round grade, he wouldn’t be here. It probably would’ve been an easier decision."

A year later this guy has been a huge disappointment and terrible prediction. He's got the tools but it's like he hasn't developed at all since Brent Venables left for OK and Clemson hired a Defensive Coordinator who had never coached/coordinated/or even played in his life prior to Dabo hiring him. Goodwin is as good as gone.

Barrett Carter is probably a 3rd/4th round guy now. He needs to go somewhere and sit a year and develop
