So what HC do you want if Doug gets fired?

#1

So anyone got any preferences for our next HC assuming Doug gets fired? I know a lot of people like Ben Johnson but everything I keep reading says he's highly interested in the Bears job. So, thoughts?

Aaron Glenn + Mark Brunell OC combo would be interesting or Kubiak’s son could be nice. Obviously Ben Johnson is #1

Shad is going to open the checkbook for some idiot we don't expect.

However, give me some discipline. Give me a team who actually hates rivals. Give me Mike Vrabel at the HC with the BEST option he can get as OC.

Mark Brunell is a nice guy but I don’t get the impression he’s a super creative Mike McDaniel type offensive guru.

Stefanski or Monk.

Whatever happened to Lefty? He was such a hot commodity 4 years ago. Now it's like he never was an OC in the NFL...

If you want a boring offense then you would want to hire Vrabel. Tennessee hugest mistake was letting GB HC LaFleur get away.

They should've fired Vrabel way before than they did and retained Lafleur.

All in all, Vrabel is not an upgrade over the current staff.

I agree with this. That team still has a physical mindset and reasonably good defense even after Vrabel was let go.

I think he is getting overrated. He is a floor raiser, but that is it.

I wanted Leftwich.
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.

The ONLY person to ever hire Leftwich in the NFL was Arians. He was Arians Press Taylor. He has been out of football since 2022.

The guy I wanted just took a college job. A job where there isn't an owner, his [BLEEP] son, and a general manager to deal with...

JagFanatic should have said "Nobody OTHER THAN JAGUAR FANS wanted him."  His hype in Jacksonville was all about nostalgia.

I have few scenarios or options I would prefer at this point in time, including General Manager combinations with the Head Coach hiring that makes sense:

1. Detroit Lions
General Manager - Ray Agnew
Head Coach - Ben Johnson (Calls the offense)

2. Kansas City Chiefs
General Manager - Mike Borgonzi
Head Coach - Steve Spagnuolo
Offensive Coordinator - Frank Reich

3. Buffalo Bills
General Manager - Matt Bazirgan
Head Coach - Joe Brady (Calls the offense)

4. Denver Broncos
General Manager - Brian Stark
Head Coach - Vance Joseph
Offensive Coordinator - John Morton

5. Philadelphia Eagles
General Manager - Jon Ferrari
Head Coach - Kellen Moore (Calls the offense)

I like everyone on the top 3 of your list.  For Vance Joseph, I look at him as a coach who tops out as a DC, and he's already had a shot at HC and looked pretty bad.

I noticed that Coen isn't on your list, any reason? (I may have missed it in an earlier post.)
