Sam Darnold is a perfect example of how a QB on a great team looks great, but a QB on a bad team looks bad.  And we should keep that in mind when we judge Trevor.  I know opinions about Trevor vary, but I think if you put Trevor on a great team, he would look great.

I agree with your point, particularly when talking about Darnold, but I suppose the issue is that the expectation is that of Franchise/Generational (<--I hate this description) QB is that he takes a bad to average team and makes them average or good respectively.  I think if you look at a QB like Brock Purdy you're getting someone who can be great with an already great team.

They are soooo desperate for Trevor to fail. Lot of angry cheetos basement typing today.

It's funny.
This thread gets bumped every week and he's on the bench.

Exactly. And if they got their wish and Trevor was out of here, it would take all of 7 weeks before it's exactly the same for the next QB.

Who needs enemies with fans like these?

When we drafted Trevor, I wished he would have a Matt Ryan-ATL type of career for us, and be our long term answer at the QB position.

It seems like the best the football gods could do was a Ryan Tannehill-copy

Dude, I understand the frustration.  But the problem has never been Lawrence.  He's a game changing QB.  But there are 10 other dudes on the field when he's under center.  And there is a HC and an OC that are calling, developing, and scheming the offense as well.

I just can't see how anyone knows exactly what Trevor Lawrence will turn out to be.  But I will guarantee that if Doug and his trash staff are around next year, Trevor is gonna look like a mediocre QB, so long as he doesn't get injured again.  I mean, seriously, if this team runs it back just like this, Trevor is not going to make it through Thanksgiving again.  Management needs to change.

I don't know what that dead link is.  But I'm assuming it's stupid.

I already did, sorry you missed it.

BTW - With the amount of zone defense the Jests played yesterday, I'd wager heavily that if that Jags had a healthy Lawrence, Engram and Kirk - they win that contest by 10 points taking a knee.

Even with a defense that folded like a wallet in the second half.

Damn, that’s some bad luck for TL. The one game this year where he could have played really well he was injured. Talk about the worst luck, eh?  If we close our eyes really tight I bet we can imagine how sweet it would have been.

Belichick is a moron now, too, since he took that college job over the Jags.

This was his second concussion and watch his arms here. He was totally out of it. My concern at his young age he already has a couple of concussions along with other injuries. We can put blame on the why or how but the reality is he is taking a beating and may not have a long career in this league.

This shot is totally concerning for his future. He was in LaLa land. Totally not his fault because he did was he was suppose to do in that situation but nevertheless the impact of that shot combined with the others has to make any logical person doubt their longevity in this league. I know we all want him to be the Prince that was promised and all that but reality after 4 years has to start setting in for some of you.

Nah, we're all crying mommies, worried neuroscientists/surgeons and virtue signaling concern trolls now. Not fans of a mild bloodsport-heavens no.

I think anybody with a set of eyes and half a brain feels the same. Trevor is like that ex we all have that we realize we took for granted and didn’t treat as well as we should have once we see the other garbage that is out there.
