Genuinely feel sorry for Doug. Thrown brutally under the bus there.

Doug's fault was he was too loyal to Press.  Khan openly wanted Doug to call the plays but Doug stayed loyal to press.

Yes, the offensive system wasn't good enough, but the defense was atrocious.  I saw all the shots of Nielsen on the sideline, calling plays for the defense, and I always wondered, what is he thinking?

At least we are going to change the coaching staff.  That was a must.  I'm sorry we haven't changed the GM, but that coaching staff sucked.

The roster would have gotten better simply through the law of statistics with our high draft picks.

Absolutely garbage take here Marty. Be better.

The coaches definitely deserve some blame but all of it? Listening to Shads answers, he thinks the roster is good and it was all on the coaches. Sounds like the answers Baalke gave him.

Literally everyone got blame but Baalke in that press conference.

I do not know.  I don't know anyone who does know, outside of Khan, Baalke, or Pederson.

Yes, but also GM. Needed clean sweep to get the best possible coaching candidate.

Didn't I say we should have fired Baalke also?

But according to Shad that means hiring new hot dog sellers, change the pool water..

Can't believe he said what does a clean slate mean.

You praised him for a roster than a 5th grader interested in football could have built with our draft position.

If it includes John Oesher,  I'm in.

Oh it definitely played a part. No idea why he's so loyal to Press and Nielsen looked out of his depth. Just feel a bit sorry that for Doug that he seems to be getting thrown under the bus for all the team's faults by the both of them.

I did not praise him.  Re-read what I wrote.  I said this roster is better than 4-13, but I also said I wish we had fired Baalke.

If you don't think this roster is better than 4-13, then what is the excuse for firing the coaching staff?

Baalke should have stepped down. Disappointed

Come on does anyone think you throw a switch and become a 4-3 because you want it to happen?

Your coaches have to partner with the Gm and execute a vision. This is one hell of an intramural team with flag football skills without a lack of tackle football capabilities.

I use to think I didn't know ow enough about football and would defer to experts but no. This is team doom and I have one foot out of here. There is still time to whack the dumb GM.

Obviously he was being obtuse or worse was totally clueless.

Lol!! I can only assume they've forgotten he's an employee to still be here at this point.

I did like how Mia got Khan to say that if a coaching candidate has a better option even at GM then he will listen. Maybe Ben can come in and convince Shad to let him bring in his own GM. I guess we will see, but I doubt it. Even my son who really just started watching football religiously this year watched the press conference and was complaining about Shads cluelessness.

What do we have to do to get a clean slate?
