Stadium Question

#1

Question for Jags season ticket holders.  Did I hear correctly that the revamped stadium won't have PSLs?  Also where is the team going to play while renovations are underway?

I've heard nothing about PSLs to date.  I don't think the location of where we will play the year out of Jacksonville has been formally announced, but I have a buddy who works for a company that partners with the Jaguars in a pretty meaningful way and he says Camping World Stadium in Orlando is already a done deal.  Take that for whatever it's worth.

Thanks.  I can tell you as a Titans PSL holder, you may want to brace yourselves.  My lower level, corner PSLs were $3K each.  I had my appointment with the Titans a few months ago to sign up for PSLs for the new stadium.  The PSLs for my same seats were $15K each.  All lower level PSLs are $12K-$70K each.  I asked about the 200 level and those were $7500 each.  I ended moving to the 50 yard line on the 300 level (there will be a 400 level above that) which is actually a better view than what I currently have for $4500 each.  After my the $6K credit for my old PSLs, I had to stroke a check for $3K.

If the Jaguars do PSL’s, season ticket holders will cancel in droves.

Am I the only one who regards PSLs as nothing more than a a scheme to extract more money from STHs? As a STH, I should have dibs on those seats for the next season without having to pay an exorbitant fee.

I don’t believe that’s something that will happen. There has been zero mention of it to date and no language of it in the contract and lease between the city and the team. Also the Jags didn’t originally have PSLs whereas I believe Nashville did.

Correct we've had them since day 1.  And your project is more of a renovation of the existing stadium whereas ours is a brand new ground up stadium so may be a little different.  I do believe most NFL teams do the PSL thing so if you manage to avoid it, good for you.

I don't think that has been communicated in any way to the STHs.  They are probably waiting to see how the Jags progress over the next few years and also evaluate the population & corporate growth of the city of Jacksonville.  Assessing a PSL at this stage would be disasterous.   In fact, the increase of my tickets from $90 to $142 over the past 4 years has me on the fence as I prefer watching the game on my big [BLEEP] TV or in a sports bar in Jax Beach.   I mean seriously, parking @ $60 at the Fairgrounds and $16 beers (24oz) ...... a day at the stadium for 2 now costs $500+ whereas I can go to Brix, Monkey's, Hoptingers, etc.  and spend $100 and still have a great time.

Yeah the total cost is nuts.  They're pricing out the regular fans and it's becoming more of a corporate thing.  Sad to see.  At some point, I'll probably sell my PSLs and just start buying tickets to 1 or 2 games a year and enjoy the rest from the comfort of my man cave.

It’s a tear down and rebuild. It’s on the same ground and will reuse some of the concrete foundations but that’s about it. I think your stadium is actually in a new location which may be why they can’t reuse anything. I’m glad we don’t have PSLs, I just don’t think Jags fans would fall for that.

JAX =/= Nash-Vegas

This market - despite a new stadium - has not even risen economically to the point of charging a median ticket price, much less a PSL.

Save that talk for 2036 when the new stadium receives its first overhaul.

Makes sense.  The cost of everything in Nashville has exploded.

Nice design. At least your newest stadium will not copy the bank. Glad you are avoiding the cloning of LA lines and syles.

I am not big on Bank redo but glad the team will stay. Best part of Jax location is how much traffic can be moved. Arlington here in DFW is a pain with miles away parking.

Ah ok I misread the scope of work on your stadium.  Our new stadium is right next door to the current stadium where a sea of parking once was.  Once the new one opens in 2027, they'll demo the old one and go vertical with bars, restaurants, retail, condos, hotels, etc.

PSL is only leveraged when you have more demand than supply.

If we had a wait list for tix, we'd have PSL.
