Coaching Firings/ Personnel Changes

Gross. Saleh's not even the best available defensive mind right now. Would rather have Spagnuolo, Glenn or Flores over Saleh. Saleh underachieved with a great defense, and, if we're talking culture?

He seems like he has no pulse on his locker room really. Their team was one of the more sloppy teams in football last year and probably the year prior. Lots of penalties. No identity. Whether you think Rodgers is washed or not doesn't really matter.

He just doesn't have "it" as a coach in my opinion.

Disagree. It will go in circles. That's something I tell h'what.

Reeks of a one year stop-gap measure due to ownership refusing to let go of Baalke a year earlier than when his contract is set to expire. This is what this hire would signify to me.

The highest paid player in franchise history was hoping for an offensive mind and a leader of men to finally put him on top.

Gus Bradley 2.0 guys, you know, we got this, never mind him letting Rodgers walk him like a dog and his offense smelling and playing like dog [BLEEP] during his tenure there, disregard his defense being undisciplined at times despite having all-pro caliber players on it, it'll be different in Jacksonville, you know, we also welcome the return of Nathaniel Hackett as the offensive coordinator".

I am [BLEEP] dead [BLEEP] serious guys. Robert Saleh?

I also wonder if the cultural similarities between Khan and Saleh may be benefitting Saleh. Both were muslim firsts in the nfl (first owner and first HC). I could care less about that, but it's worth wondering. I think Saleh at HC would be the ultimate "Jags gonna Jags" moment considering all the options out there lol.

I mentioned it before but I don’t “totally” hate it.

He went 7-10 in back to back seasons with the worst possible QB situation imaginable. In a division with the Fins and Bills. He then was 2-3 this year before being fired and the Jets lost almost every game after that.

I’m not saying I want Saleh (I’m team Coen, Johnson or Glenn) but I would prefer him to Kellen Moore and a couple others.

Total Jaguars under Khan move.
- Waste millions on free agent signings to shore up poor drafting, but be unwilling to give up on the final year of the GM contract.
- Allow assistant coaches who ran decent stats to be let go to save the head coach in 2024.

I don't believe the insiders because they all need traffic to fuel their ad dollars. I am taking a wait-and-see approach, but so far, this is looking like another waste of time.

Saleh would be a mistake - he’d fix our D - but will probably be more of the same. Honestly he kind of comes across weird to me, that WHOLE Jets situation was just so odd and he definitely had some role to play in it.

We need a FRESH Offensive minded guy or I’d be happy with Aaron Glenn

Knowing Khan he will hire Saleh as jags head coach, with him we will continue to lose. I'm telling you Ben Johnson will  lead the Jaguars to a Super Bowl Bowl win.  If he goes to the raiders or any were else he will lead that team to a super bowl win. it might take 2 to 3 years, but it will happen.

Trying to think of the last time anyone from "the athletic" broke any actual news that didn't involve baby-mamas and swimsuit photos of WAGS.

Not to be taken seriously IMO.

Could be true, but he is scheduled for the interview tomorrow reported by Pelissero.

Whoever promises to bring Jim Bob back as OC has my vote.
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.

I'm sure the info is real, from a source. The source, though, is probably from an agent trying to get his name out there. He needs to build it up as he is pretty low down most of the coaching boards.

"There's some real buzz..." could mean anything.  And "He has a lot of fans inside the building..." means absolutely nothing because those people are going to have no influence on who Khan hires.

But... in my very humble opinion, he wouldn't be a bad choice.

Ben Johnson is the clear choice for someone to salvage Trevor’s career.

Everyone knows this except Khan, unless Baalke has blackmail. When you have your own media members to leak things to, fake social media accounts to push your agenda, etc you aren't going down without a fight.

But is Trevor the right choice for a rookie HC to succeed? That is what ultimately will decide if we get a good candidate imo. None of our opinions matter, only the candidates opinions and we will find out soon enough. If we get Ben Johnson for example, he must think highly of Lawrence, since he is the #1 candidate.

I look at the situation in Washington, never really would of thought Dan Quinn to turn out to be a good HC but he is. It takes two to tango though, you need a HC and QB, and then fill in the coaching staff that best fits the roster. Kingsbury with Jayden is great, and Dan Quinn has set the culture from the start.

At this point, it really has to be the only answer.
