But I get it.  If you imagine and pretend that things are equal, then clearly Pederson is just as good as Kingsbury.

But then, you have to eventually accept reality.

Sure you know. Kingsbury was [BLEEP] as a head coach. He gets good players in Washington and the same exact plays that didn't work in Arizona or Jax work just fine. It's a case study in Jimmy and Joe being preeminent in the NFL. So be off the Johnson train or whatever, its irrelevant until the players are actually good.

Yup.  I jumped off that train tonight.

Seeing people going 180 on Ben here after this game. If anything, Aaron Glenn is looking less likely.

Full pass on Glenn, cant even keep a rookie QB with 2 weeks to prep under 45. Hell no.

The least surprising thing I've read this year, tbh. You don't comprehend what you're seeing, so you flail around on every stiff breeze.

Lions scored 31 points, I wouldn't be off Ben J. Glenn has [BLEEP] the bed constantly in big games this year.

We're in times of trouble.

Honesty, it's just gonna be a coin flip. Maybe we'll get a great HC. Maybe we'll get another Urban Meyer. At this point, who the [BLEEP] knows?

But all I know is that Ben Johnson isn't a guaranteed good option.

Shad could just close his eyes, throw a dart, and maybe hit a HC that may be better than all the options we have available.

Hell, let Caldrac figure it out. At this point, it's all just a roll of the dice.

What they've done with a decimated defense is remarkable.

LOL, I could say the same thing about you, bro.

Nothing is certain.  Why do you think you are so important?  I was right about Doug and Press.  I kept telling you for 2 seasons!!!   But you think you can insult me?  Come on.

I mean I get some of the Lions coordinators hate but as had already been said I think Ben would've coached Jameson to throw the ball away rather than a pic, he didn't throw that interception in the end zone. Glenn's side did worse but that side is also the most banged up, I mean one of the cbs had only played 1 snap all year (pretty sure that's what the announcers said).

Maybe the better team won today that doesn't mean either coordinator is bad. You can't win them all and I'm pretty sure there are some current HCs in this league that are not even in the playoffs right now that most of us would take as our new HC in a heartbeat.

Don't be logical.   That doesn't fly well here.

Why don't we all try and make the Texans DC head coach since they looked so good today?

Or hey, Spags blitzing defense looked great.  Lets hire him.

I pray people arent judging Aaron Glenn's head coaching ability on a decimated Lions defense.   His STAFF will determine whether he's successful on the field or not.   That's it.

Brandon Scherff is no longer that dude.   Next season I want him gone.

Ben Johnson is still the guy. Silver lining of the lions losing is we get him inked sooner.

Rough night for Lions. For the most part I thought their offensive playcalling was pretty good aside from the trick play late which was awful. Defensively they had no answers. Tons of injuries but did Glenn scheme well enough?

As I said before the game, being a good coordinator doesn't equate to being a good head coach. I also don't think one bad game as coordinator will undo a track record of success. Finding the right head coach feels like a total crapshoot. Johnson or Glenn may make a great one. I'd be happy with either from what I know. All I really want though is a guy who will make a commitment to playing physical football and making it a priority to dominate both lines of scrimmage. That is the one way to guarantee consistent success in the league. Even a top 5 qb may not be enough to make the playoffs aka burrow if your lines are garbage.

Detroit scored 31 whilst giving away 5 turnovers , I’m not sure how that’s Ben Johnson being outcoached. Got too cute with the jamo int but like others said that’s on him not throwing it out of bounds. Showed great patience in the run game and flipped the field with some creative plays. Again no idea if he’s the guy but last night didn’t hurt his stock

I'll be happy with Ben Johnson but have zero idea if he'll make a good head coach

AGREED, but this is also why you don't hand a guy like that the KEYS to the franchise. You do NOT give an unknown the KEYS, no matter what. It'll be Khan's worst decision, and there has been  A LOT of them.

Because it worked so well giving Pederson the keys?  I mean he was a Super Bowl winning coach and a known commodity.

So by your logic Dan Quinn should never have been coaching the Commies since he got blown out as D coordinator in Dallas vs. the Packers in the playoffs?

I’d rather get BJ. Who doesn’t like a happy ending?

It does seem year after year when a hot commodity coordinator whose team is in the playoffs starts taking interviews his team loses that week. Almost as if it's a distraction.

Lance Newmark is interviewing with the Raiders today. If we don't hear anything about us getting an interview with him this week it will be a bad sign.

Not just that it means we aren't getting Ben Johnson, but I think it will call into question whether Shad is actually willing to move Baalke to a different position in the front office.

I disagree.  If we're going to hire a new GM, whoever it is has to be acceptable to the new HC.  And since we don't have a new HC yet, there's no point in interviewing GM candidates.
