Trump 2.0 - The Rightening

#21

Trump has the democrats on their heels with the pace of changes he is making. They just don't have enough time to plant fake stories in the legacy media outlets. Today I believe Trump really struck a nerve when he froze all disbursements, loans and aid. They had counted that money as fairly stolen. (condoms for the middle east? WTH!!)
A new broom always sweeps clean.

Milley has had a security detail since Iran vowed revenge for the killing of Qasem Soleimani

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth will announce he is "immediately pulling" retired Gen. Mark Milley's personal security detail and security clearance, multiple senior administration officials tell Fox News.

Hopefully he is demoted to the lowest grade officer possible. Then recall him and either send him to military court or send him to the worst possible job they can come up with.

Can't he still be brought up on treason charges?

Trump to sign executive order to prepare Guantanamo Bay for 30K 'criminal illegal aliens'
Trump says, 'It's a tough place to get out of

President Donald Trump announced Wednesday that he would sign an executive order for the Pentagon to prepare Guantanamo Bay to detain 30,000 "criminal illegal aliens."

"Today I'm also signing an executive order to instruct the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security to begin preparing the 30,000 person migrant facility at Guantanamo Bay," Trump said. "Most people don't even know about it."

He said they have 30,000 beds in Guantanamo to house the detainees who pose a threat to the American public, adding that putting them there will ensure they do not come back.

Security Escorts USDA Inspector General Out Of Building For Refusing To Leave After Being Fired
Top Republican senators have defended Trump's decision to fire the inspectors general.

Security officers escorted U.S. Department of Agriculture Inspector General Phyllis Fong out of her office this week after she refused to leave following her termination by President Donald Trump.

Reuters reported that the incident happened on Monday after Fong, who served in the department for 22 years, told colleagues that she intended to stay after being fired.

She reportedly claimed that the administration did not follow the proper protocols in firing her, the report said.

Chuck Grassley disagrees with how Trump is handling this and the matter is likely to go to court.

Meta agrees to pay Trump $25m for suspending accounts over Capitol riots

Settlement originates from lawsuit by president against the platform, one of several filed after 6 January violence

Meta has agreed to pay $25m to settle a lawsuit with Donald Trump. The suit originated in 2021 when Trump sued the social media company for suspending his accounts after the January 6 attack on the US Capitol. The settlement was first reported by the Wall Street Journal and has been confirmed by a Meta spokesperson.

The majority of the settlement, $22m, will go toward a fund to pay for Trump’s presidential library, according to the Wall Street Journal. The remainder will pay for legal fees and go to other plaintiffs listed in the case. The White House didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

Truly thought it would take longer for Pete Hegseth to screw up our military and Sean Duffy to screw up or Transportation.   j/k

Things are going to get quite interesting given the finger pointing at DEI hires in the years to come.   Minorities supported Trump at a level far greater than they have in the past so if this is the result (blame game, layoffs, etc.), so be it.

Regardless of the validity of Grassley's arguments, I can't overlook the fact that he's two years into his 8th term at 91.  I'm naturally skeptical of anyone who loves the power and prestige too much to leave.

I mean, when you substitute meritocracy in the name of DEI hires, you’re not doing this country any favors..

I think that pretty much sums up how the country felt about DEI in the last election..

Learn from it..

Listening to these senate confirmation hearing is turning into a comedy show. The senators are being out classed by the people they are questioning. Seems to me they really have no clue as how to deal with competent people.

The system demands it.  Committee positions are done by seniority.  Iowans are being rational.

It's always this way. The real questioning was done in individual offices behind closed doors. This part is just theater.

So the Dems strategy was to look like we have seen? That is pretty weird, James Carville was right about these guys/gals.

Trump's FCC chief opens investigation into NPR and PBS

resident Trump's new head of the Federal Communications Commission has ordered an investigation of NPR and PBS, with an eye toward unraveling federal funding for all public broadcasting.

"I am concerned that NPR and PBS broadcasts could be violating federal law by airing commercials," Chairman Brendan Carr wrote on Wednesday to the presidents and chief executives of NPR and PBS, Katherine Maher and Paula A. Kerger, respectively. "In particular, it is possible that NPR and PBS member stations are broadcasting underwriting announcements that cross the line into prohibited commercial advertisements."

Jeffrey Epstein files: Trump's election could expose names on 'black book' list
Epstein was accused of running a 'ring for the elite'

President Donald Trump's return to the White House could clear the way for the public to finally see a glimpse of Jeffrey Epstein's long-awaited "black book," as questions about the deceased financier and sex trafficker continue to swirl years after he was found dead in a federal jail in New York City.

Sen. Marsha Blackburn, a Tennessee Republican who has long called for the government to release more of its evidence against Epstein and his potential accomplices, raised the issue during a Senate confirmation hearing Thursday for Trump's FBI director nominee, Kash Patel.

"I have been working on this for years, trying to get those records of who flew on Epstein's plane and who helped him build this international human trafficking, sex trafficking ring," Blackburn told the nominee.
