The formation was 4-3-3, which is more offensive based. The problem for team USA is lack of talent.The offense couldn't hold onto possession and kept giving it back to Belgium.

Wondo absolutely botched that flick on by Jones.  He punted it over the net from less than 10 yards out.  Come on... oh well, I know it's not as easy as it looks.  Belgium had way too many chances.  Sooner or later they will score if you give them that many shots.

For a good part of that last 15 minutes, we put the pressure on them that they put on us for the whole second half.  A few more German American defenders and we have a shot.

The only way they get that kind of environment is by fan support.  The fans in the pacific northwest are great.  It will be difficult to duplicate that kind of excitement.

One thing I think in Orlando's favor is they have grown organically as a soccer club. Orlando City was a successful USL team and they are basically moving up to MLS. 


Something like Atlanta on the other hand, is a true expansion team. They have an NASL franchise but this is a different club. Based on Atlanta's history, I cannot say for sure that their MLS team will be a success.

Orlando has a large population of Brazilians, and I believe a part of the ownership is Brazilian.  They also just signed Kaka....seems to be a trend.

Of course not. My point is that Orlando City has a solid foundation of a fanbase. In the USL (which is basically the AA level) they drew over 8k per game. Doesn't sound like a lot but it is for that level of soccer. Those are similar numbers to what Portland drew as a USL franchise before making the same jump to MLS.

Yes, a very wealthy Brazilian owner. Would not shock me to see other older Brazilian players end up in Orlando.

Which I hold out hope for here. I hope the Armada can eventually lead to Jax landing an MLS franchise.

Seattle and Portland are the cream of the crop in fan turn out in MLS. Tough to compare the turnout of a team in a league below MLS to those two, and when I say tough, I mean you can't.

Ahhh, ok, got ya. You never know though. But yea, the likelihood is not there. Those are awesome to watch on TV. I would LOVE to see one live. Don't care if it is in Seattle or Portland (although I think if I had to pick I would go at Portland.)
